It is these new developments that are always hit hardest by a downturn in the housing market.0 -

This forum is lucky to have us here to give a conservative, balanced view, otherwise it would be chaos.0 -
Danny is right.Looks at the tower blocks they built in the 60s and 70s,all are revolting.
Its now all part of the Labour partys obssession with creating new homes in the south east.New flat sales=stamp duty payments for Gordon Brown so he can try and repay the £200 billion debt (45b overdraft+125 Northern Rock+230 Railtrack and PFI stuff etc) he's got the country into.Imagine the OR sorting that mess out!! IVA or DMP could be an option??0 -
correction,£300 billion debt.0

Who in their right mind would spunk £200,000 to buy a flat?
Me! On my budget, I had the choice between a spacious flat with 2 large double bedrooms in a nice area, or a pokey 2 bed terrace (small double and second bedroom a single, and tiny kitchen, and lounge) in a cr*p location...
Or I suppose I could have carried on renting, paying 15% more in rent that the interest on a mortgage would be...
I'm not sure who on earth would go for the terrace in this scenario!!
(and we're not talking pretty 2 bed victorian terrace either! those would be an extra 50%... it was a new-ish build terrace)Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

You can adopt this as a 'morning mantra', and you may even start to believe it.0 -
