I can honestly say that it is the only brand of skincare that I have ever repurchased. I think its fab. I just bought the special off QVC as the stuff I don't want can be sold on ebay and I can recoup my costs.

Wow, that's all exactly what I was about to write!

I totally agree with the first bit of your post:D

    But the bit in bold:confused:

If I get any odds & sods (by LE) not ordered, you know when they throw a few samples in, I use it & LOVE everything. There is none I don't want;)

I won't let myself try them as I can't justify the cost of using Liz Earle body stuff as well as face stuff. They're going straight on ebay

hi, just wanted to add my tupennies...

I used the cleanse and polish, and skin repair for a couple of years - really liked it, but the continued cost bothered me. I then heard about a skin cleansing method called Oil Cleansing Method - OCM. Its similar in that you use a muslin cloth to heat and wipe off the cleanser, but the cleanser costs pennies as it is just 50% olive oil and 50% castor oil.

Try LE for a week, and then the OCM recipe above for a week, and see which you prefer. If the OCM isn't pampery enough for you, you could add various essential oils too it like I do, but the oil mix by itself is fabulous. And surprisingly enough, this is really good for oily skin! My skin is RADIANT everytime I cleanse with this (I do it am/pm). And with the money you save, you can splurge elsewhere!

i was tempted to try the LE stuff after reading this thread and emailed them to ask if they do free samples. i got a very polite and helpful email back explaining they dont do free samples but do most of their range in trial sizes for around £5.
they then went on to give me advice on the skin problems i mentioned in the email.

thought this was really nice of them but still not sure i can justify the cost. might instead try the tesco ones someone mentioned on here

STEP AWAY FROM THE LIZ EARLE...STEP AWAY FROM THE LIZ EARLE!

Do not buy some to 'try it' or as a 'treat' - Mrs MATH did this some 11 years ago when the range was first released on QVC, having previously been quite happy slapping on Sainsbug's Fragrance Free costing only a few pence. Since then she hasn't used anything else.

Although it smells a bit medicinal to me I have to admit it does the business and I do use it on the kids when they get eczema or have face painted themselves and regular cleanser won't get it off.

Mrs MATH is the only one to indulge in the full routine but we all use the muslin cloths and they are much better at cleaning the skin than mouldy ol flannels IMO.My skin always looks and feels cleaner anyway. Our cloths are over 10 years old now and still going strong, so don't expect to have to buy new with every purchase, you don't need to.

If you can't afford the full LE experience maybe switching to the hot water muslin method and your regular face gloop could be a MSE alternative.

Occasionally, I've ordered things for Mrs MATH for Mother's Day and the like using the LE order line and have to say the service is excellent (they chuck a few freebies in too!). Not only are they polite and organised in taking your order but they even take time to flirt with you over the phone which is always a sign of a forward thinking, customer focused organisation IMO:D

I too say STEP AWAY FROM THE EARLE!

I had terrible reactions to the stuff (cleanse & polish and some gold body cream), threw the damn stuff away as it was just terrible.

I swear by Elemis and have encouraged my friends to try it too and they now wont use anything else but Elemis.

Good luck with your samples though x

They are soooo tight with their samples :( - i called them & mentioned the lovely reviews they received here, was politely told they have never heard of us & they don't do free samples :(
No one said it was gonna be easy!

Might sound like a daft question, but do you mix this yourself? I often use Olive oil and sugar as a body scrub, and it makes my skin lovely and soft with no need for a body lotion afterwards, and if I run out of night cream I have been known to use it on my face, but I have sensitive eyes and it sometimes irritates them so cant use it all the time

I do - its just a haphazard guess at what is 50/50 olive oil and castor oil. You can get castor oil very cheaply from Boots... hth!
