Is Liz earle worth it?

Inspired by the thread where people are posting their great beauty finds I've been looking on the liz earle website and am very tempted to order the skincare range. I've been using No. 7 for about 2 years and while it's fine my skin is prone to being a bit dry at times and a bit oily around my nose so don't think it's necessarily the perfect range for me.

The reviews I've read of the Liz earle range are all really positive but I'm baulking at the price. For the cleanser, 2 muslin clothes, 2 moisturisers(1 normal for day, and 1 dry for night) and a small toner and postage it's costing €69(£54 sterling). That cost itself is ok as I was going to have a facial but would do this instead. But it's the ongoing cost that would concern me. If I like it I'd want to keep buying it and it would work out fairly expensive on an ongoing basis.
Any opinions would be much appreciated on whether the range is worth it or not?.

since getting hooked on all the "luxury" stuff, i try not to use anything else thats expensive, in case i like it!!!

liz earle is nice, but I personally prefer the lancome stuff, and i found it lasted me a little longer :)
Wins since June: iPod shuffle 1gb, Samsung g800, cinema ticket, lush retro giftbox, 2x mp3 downloads, a big box of food (???)

I love liz earle stuff, The cleanse & polish is like heaven ! Skin is always soft and not prone to breakouts because of the ingrediants. If you are unsure order a sample mini kit or write to her see if they will send samples. I get my stuff off QVC, she normally does a day, once a month with multi buys etc. I got a full kit with 5 full size products products including the cleanse & polish and skin repair that were full size, 2 muslin cloths. The body wash that is in there is divine. My 8 piece set from QVC was £34 last Saturday. I worked the set RRP @ £87 so was a great buy.On her website she lets you know when she on qvc.
    Comping since 5th March 2008
    £2008 for 2008
March - No wins so far
  • I also use Liz Earle and would highly recommend it.

I agree with the advice to try the trial size sets first, just to make sure you like it and these are also very useful for travel. I find the products last a long time and is well worth the money.

I particularly like the Intensive Nourishing Mask as my skin is dry, you put it on and your skin absorbs most where it is dryest, brilliant.

Give it a try, I'm sure you will not regret it.
Grant me the serenity to accept the people I cannot change, the courage to change the one I can and the wisdom to know it's me"
  • Having been converted by a friend many years ago I use to follow the recommended regime, but now I only use the cleanse & polish and find it ok on it's own. They are also very good at sending out handy little samples.

i like the cleanse and polish but did the math yesterday and realised that it is more expensive than the Clarins milky cleanser. The Liz Earle cleanser is £11 for 100ml, and the Clarins stuff is about £13 for 200ml

Having said that, I love the moisturiser and also bought the same kit as Jo Blev on QVC on Saturday.

Shoppergal, best to wait for another offer on QVC to try Liz Earle but yes I'd definitely recommend her products.
Not buying clothes for a year - it's liberating!

    I LOVE Liz Earle

I think we have missed the QVC special, I think it was the 9th March (or that weekend), I am gutted.

But I think their website has good normal prices anyway.

I get the pack of three Cleanse & polish (cheapest way of buying - lasts three months used morn & night) about £28.
The pack of three moisturiser (again the cheapest way - lasts AGESSSSSSSSS) about £30 something £.
The spritzer/spray toner, lasts for ageeeeeeeeessss, if you just spray.

I like the Tesco bnatural muslin cloths better than the Liz Earle ones.
But they are not really any cheaper.

Liz Earle usually include cloths anyway.

The cleanse and polish just doesn't suit my skin at all, and leaves it feeling a little sore and sensitive, almost like it's sunburned. I think it's the eucalyptus oil. Fortuantely I was able to find out with a sample tube. I much prefer Tesco's BNatural skin brightening cleanser and it smells gorgeous. I find since I hit 40 products with rose/rose oil in suit my skin much better.
