I appreciate that you might feel the need to make a response, but I don't understand how tax payers bailing out NR or paying for the War has anything to do with me or the point I made. Or means tested benefits.

Oh that's quite simple, you seem to quick enough to put the world to rights about how we should be honest about our savings and winnings to the DWP, so i'm merely asking WHY, when this government is happy to plough billions of taxes payers money into useless causes, and the tax payer gets no say in it at all.;)

I think you'll have trouble finding posts where I'm setting the world to rights about how people should be honest about their savings. I do however give advice based on the knowledge I have regarding social security laws. That's a form of moneysaving - getting hit with an overpayment, possible penalty or even a prison sentence is not a method of moneysaving.
Giving this sort of advice doesn't mean I agree with the rules. But they are the rules currently in place. I am also capable of understanding some of the 'logic' behind the rules. That's just an intellectual gift I have. :D

Why the hell should I justify the war or NR? What has it got to do with me? Has it got any more to do with me than it has to do with YOU?
I'm not Alastair Darling, Ed Balls or anyone else you could hold responsible for these issues. So get off my back.

I'm not on your back i'm merely stating that before people pass judgement on what a person should or should not do, they should sit back and take a look at what this Government who control the DWP and run this country, have done with the hard working tax payers money, and when you do look, you will find that it's billions of pounds wasted of tax payers money.

  • So who are these people condoning fraud?

The people who are advising not to declare or to hide/give to children or otherwise not disclose, a large lump sum that takes them over the threshold.

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton
