Favourite old computers?

Options
Here's a bit of a fun one...

What's your favourite old computer? I.e., Commodores, Ataris, ZX Spectrums...

Mine's a toss-up between the Commodore 64 and The BBC Master Computer.

The latter had class where as the former had a popular touch and curvy bits!

Any thoughts? Post 'em below!

    I was a commodore man.

Had a 3.5K Vic 20 (3583 bytes free...), then a commodore 64, then a Commodore 128d, then an amiga 500 (the week they came out) then a 1200.

    Loved the C64.

I had fun as a 5 year old onwards using my dad's Spectrum 48K (then we got a 128K+2 as well). Especially writing template programs and altering them. Best way to learn really.

Then my favourite operating system to date is RISC OS on the Acorn A5000. I've not found anything more intuitive, cleaner, more secure or faster to use since.

I still have my Spectrum 48k. I ran a users group in 1983. Even tried machine code, and remember studying a Z80 programming book. Writing basic programmes was a whole lot of fun (and frustration). Still get a buzz of excitement when I get my Spectrum out of it's box. Don't have a single programme for it any more though.

Well I was only 3 in 1983! Didn't start doing any machine code until my engineering degree.

I still have my BBC B Computer, complete with Teletext adaptor and Music 5000 System. I also found loads of 5" floppy disks. Wonder if they all still work?

I started off with a ZX Spectrum +, basically a ZX Spectrum with a decent keyboard, then a few years later I got the ZX Spectrum + 3, this was really fancy as it had a built in disk drive, mum got for me as she wanted to get one that was quite hi tech, yeah right!

Only problem I had was using it on my black and white portable, I either got a very clear picture and dodgy sound or a fuzzy picture with great sound!
