    This is one of my pet hates too! They keep changing the inside packaging but never change the basic shape, surely someone in their design department would have realised by now that the boxes don't fit on a standard shelf.

    Erm........mine do :confused::D

    I keep mine on the bottom shelf of a base unit - then the boys can get their own breakfast :) Still got room on the top shelf for 'normal' sized items.
  • I hate the weetabix packets- there is no way to get your pieces out without covering the worktop in bits that brake/fall off!!

    Tantrams are one thing, but there are those that I glare at that fight the restraining straps in their push chair and scream the place down. Or the others that throw themselves on the floor repeatedly until they get attention....

    Sorry to to tell yout his but that was exactly what happened; Struggling to put him in the in the buggy as the tantrums were due to him being tired and he needed his nap.
    He also sprawled his tiny body around the shop - sweeping in the dirt with him. But I had to ignore him so I let him be (this aint the way to get attention.). That was way people were gwaping even more.
    I Hate it when they look. Why cant they try to ignore incidents like this, It makes it sooo much easier?

    Str4berr3 - I know it's hard, but try to ignore the tut tutters...

    It is so much worse when the parent responds with a tantrum of his/her own, ie shouting and hitting (because of a lost temper) an already upset child. I haven't got kids of my own but have seen the completely challenging behaviour of a child who doesn't know any better. I don't think I could cope with that myself.

    On the few occasions a child has been really obnoxious I've left the shop and gone back a bit later. No big deal!

    This used to annoy me too, so much so that when we had the kitchen refitted I had a cupboard shelf put higher to accommodate the 1kg cornflake box and the 1 litre Olive Oil.

    ...And a thing I REALLY hate is when I've got up early to do a car boot sale, stood there smiling and selling for 5 hours, packed up, come home, proudly announced how much I've raised to OH who is sunning himself in the garden and he says......."Is that all?" !!!!!!!!! :mad: (And it's our anniversay, too - where's the TLC? :rolleyes: )

    Thank you, nearlyrich, a bit of sympathy was just what I needed :D I know I'm not alone with the emotionally clueless man, but am finding it particularly hard to cope with at the moment! You'd think I'd be used to it after 23 years - sigh! (I have 3 sons, as well, so not much help there, either!)

    When my wife cooks Yorkshire puddings, some how she manages to weld the batter to the tins, and expects me to wash them up, I say throw the flippin things away and get new each time, saves my temper!

    Why does my wife have to move everything!

    Why did we bother to have children? We all know they have to be teenagers at some point! And yes have also been in the tantrum position, many years ago now, have been very embarressed and stopped shopping and taken them home.

    Traffic Wardens....urghhhhhhhh Miserable bunch of misfits. (Yes I know they have a job to do....but)

    Trying to open anything in a cellophane package, no matter what it is never comes out in one piece, ie little cakes, biscuits etc.

    Cellotape, when you lose the end and try to find and when you do, stand there for ages picking at it......argghhhhhh!!!!!
