It works on BT-Mobile. Just tested it. This is a new breed of international calling that uses the apparently fat margins of X-net minutes paid to companies passing on calls made to mobile numbers. There seems to be enough salami-slicing capacity within the profit to port the call round the globe and beyond.

I'd be interested to hear from an insider just how the arithmetic stacks up.
  • What network does a call to 07744 974 333 count as? Some of us only have same network free minutes.

I am aware of https://www.pre-dial.com who offer 0779 231 6447 which is an ORANGE number

Also https://www.pd-dial.com offer an 02 access number:

Any such numbers that work with t-mobile, virgin or vodafone???

i understand that 07744 974333 works ONLY with all cross-network minutes but NOT with any 'same-network' plans.

i just used that number to call from my sons orange phone & quality & connection was excellent!

Might be worth trying to use this number in combination with 1899/18866 for use with landlines, especially at weekends @ 2p a min

I am sure the no. works, but what I was less confident about was whether it would come out of the inclusive minutes.  I guess the only way to confirm that would be to make a call and tackle the dreaded BT Mobile custoemr services, to see what it has come up as on their system.  I am wondering whether anyone has had the patience to do that.

Incidentally the 'area code' for the no. is listed as being a Dolphin Telecom no. (i.e. not Voda, Orange etc.) although I am sure that this went bust a couple of years back !

I have had occasion to call CS twice in the last couple of weeks (using 150 from the phone), and the call handling system has put me through without delay to real agents with cheerful Ulster accents each time. They confirm that there is as yet no online billing facility, but you can get your remaining minutes read out to you for the asking. From here it looks like they are sorting out their CS problems.

I spoke to CS too & they were polite but hopeless & had absolutely no idea if these were inclusive minutes.. BUT i have friend using this number & he confirmed [& showed me] that his recent invoices show that these calls to 07744 974333 are definitely INCLUDED as inclusive free mobile minutes and he's making therefore 'free' international calls....

    apparently,
