  • Hi

    Mine would be:

Nescafe original (whilst in hospital they had a 200g jar on special in there shop for £1.99. so picked up 5  will last 12months+ ), Imperial Leather soap original (always on BOGOF), Tetley T-bags (Makros when on special), Luxury loo rolls (Makros own 36 rolls £6.99-lasts 12 weeks).

Most other items I will try cheaper brands.

    Penny-Pincher!!

SKY Tv is always staying, I love to watch the old episodes of MASH. Without SKY, no paramount comedy...

Tetley's Decaf tea bags, Whiskas cat biscuits (otherwise poor cat gets cystitis), Heinz ketchup and beans, Issey Miyake perfume, Nivea deodorant (lasts and lasts and no white residue), Andrex loo roll, Herbal Essences shampoo - it really helps a colour last.

And then of course the trip to the hairdresser every 4 weeks for a cut and colour (hair grows like crazy), and eyebrow wax. I go to her house, she is fantastic and way cheaper than a salon. If you have never had your eyebrows waxed, try it - best money you will ever spend, trust me.

I would find it hard to give up hair dye (i only use a semi, but its purple at the moment and looks lovely) and my perfume at £40 a bottle (however, i do use cheap avon stuff for bed as by the time the pong has worn off we are both asleep).

Cappuccino sticks.... but it is sorta moneysaving in a way... cos i only have one coffee a day, and I don't use milk at any other time, so if I bought milk for my daily cuppa, I'd be forever throwing it away...

    And anyway, I enjoy it!!!

  • Hot bath with smelly bubbles. :D Chinese takeaway once a month, and of course our broadband connection, without which I would not be able to spend hours on here, expanding my knowledge :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I tried value loo roll once, never again. Almost as useless as the stuff we had at school that was like crispy tracing paper

My Mum had the same problem. One day she figured that £3000 was more than enough for a holiday in the USA. SO she just quit after 40 years and put £8 a day into a jar. She watched it grow and before she knew it she had quit. NO suppliments, no patches nothing.... I was amazed.

Your mum sounds like quite a woman. That's amazing!
