What 'luxury' can you not give up?

Hello

I'm a newbie to posting here but I've been following the advice to help me sort out my dreadful financial state. I've done the usual - packed lunches, switching utilities etc, and I've also been following the excellent tips in this forum.

One thing I've noticed is that although we are all trying to save money, we all have different priorities - one person finds they cannot go without a few beers, another their favourite moisturiser etc

I'll start the ball rolling, and probably embarrass myself in the process! I'm happy to go without booze, chocs, even tube fares to work (walk instead). However, the one thing I'm finding it hard to let go of is...............a (cheapo) salon leg and bikini wax  I've tried the home waxing and I'm just rubbish at it! - I usually end up with very little hair removed and my dressing gown stuck to my bits!

So, what luxury can you not quite let go of? (even though you probably should)

:)

Decent cosmetics. I have sensitive skin and eyes so I find the cheapy ones irritate. I like my Virgin Vie, Models Prefer, Liz Earle skincare.

However, as I am not a follower of fashion per se, I find what I like them ebay here we come :)

May be will look for some cheap patches to stick on.

I buy 2 weekly ones - £1.50, £1, 1 monthly £1.85 and 1 fortnightly (by subscription) £1.80 so it works out at just under £4 a week - BUT i don't smoke or drink or go out so its my little treat!

Even when really broke I couldn't give up the ocassional Indian/Chinese takeaway and a bottle of wine.

Make up last me for ever even though I used daily. I still have a bottle of Clarins I bought in March 2004 (from US so moneysaving!) which has plenty in it. I just chucked out 10 lippies, 7 nail polishes and 5 eyeshadow pallettes because they were at least 15 years old (and I was still using)

Finally no matter how broke I was I couldn't use Value Loo Roll :p

For me it has to be perfume. At £36 a bottle, it's not the most expensive.....at least thats what I keep telling myself

That's okay PW. I have a bottle of Coco that cost me £52! I did buy it 5 years ago now and by keeping it in the cool and dark and in it's original box it still smells as good as ever.
