I have given up with Vista

We got a new toshiba laptop at Christmas, with Vista.
It will not play DVDs, or the Vista ready games.
So we have to use the old pc for these.
Download VLC player for you DVD's or any other decent media player (windows media player is not great)
Vista ready or not you have to have the require spec to play any game. Vista ready is usually a marketing sticker. I have purchased monitors and HDD's that say vista ready *rolls eyes*

Vista Windows Explorer is insanely frustrating to use. XPPlorer is a fine replacement.0

Nothing wrong with Vista. Have both 32bit and 64bit versions working here absolutely fine. Lappy installation is now several months old.
The problem more likely lies with who is mashing the keys.
im using vista...its slower than xp...even when all the bells and whistles are turned off. however, its quite ok. im not very happy about it but theres no point going back to xp.0
