    May payday update.

Damn work having me drive places....I've worked out I ended up sending £147 in petrol alone!

Also was a bit naughty and went for a shopping weekend and meal out with my sister.

Still...that was the only time I really went out and I was super frugal the rest of the month, which has enabled to put £1100 into the ISA, bringing my grand total up to £15100.

So pleased to hit that 15k mark :)

Might have to delay my plans by a month, holiday ended up costing a smidgen more than planned.

However I'm putting away £625 of this months pay packet and also have the ISA interest to add.

I've now got over £24k, and can expect to reach £25k at the end of August.

£1320 for June, unexpected expensive bills. I'm not on track for where I wanted to be by now but it could be worse. Keep plodding.

You're so close Jim! I'm going to be so happy for you when you post to say you're in your new place.

Haven't posted on this board for a while, mostly because since last year we have been a little immature and moved into a bigger place (renting) because we wanted too! This means we are saving a little less each month, but still saving the cost of our rent again, so we shouldn't feel too bad.

We have now saved enough for a 5% deposit, and are saving the stamp duty, only a couple of thousand to go on that, then roughly the same for fees (should be enough). So the plan is to have enough to go ahead by the start of October. :) We had pushed it back a month as hubby starting a new job, so he will be out of the probation period by then. We also have some weddings and a holiday coming up, so nice to be able to save a little less each month.

London is so expensive though - I HATE having to pay SDLT too!

I just realised since I first started posting on this thread in 2013 I have had 2 new jobs/pay rises! I received another one last month, moved up another government band, so have an extra £200 a month. :) Yay!
