Can I half join in this shindig. All my savings is pretty much for a deposit anyway. I am trying to convince myself I do not need a new car!"I'm not from around here, I have my own customs"
For confirmation: No, I'm not a 40 year old woman, I'm a 26 year old bloke!0 -

You do not need a new car....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

Ah well, last night I made a whole £40.24
£20.20 finishing off a Betdaq offer through Matched Betting
£20.00 I found in Quidco from Betdaq tracking, I visited through the link but didn't sign up through the link as it was quite a while ago
4p as I clicked on a comparison site through Quidco."I'm not from around here, I have my own customs"

LOL,
no new car Riq...honetly, you don't need it. I'm praying mine lasts two more years...it mot month this month and I'm dreading it- the fear and expenditure cars create is ridiculous. TBF mine is a bog standard Ford and its been pretty damn reliable, if very expensive at MOT time and some of the services have left me a little tearful, but it been pretty good, but my father has a very nice Audi...that is in the garage, like clockwork, on Monday mornings with something up with it. cars are horrid.

Okay, you've convinced me and Autotrader don't have what I want anyway
I have a Honda Civic which should last another 10 years at least!"I'm not from around here, I have my own customs"

Yeah my tax code is the right one! I've already looked into that one. I just seem to be getting taxed heavily!!
If I carry on working the way I have been then I genuinely will end up on the higher rate tax so maybe they are just doing it from the word go!
I think you should ring the Revenue - sounds as if something's wrong here....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
Hi all
Finding this thread really motivating. We're now 78.98% of the way there (which sounds great but that still leaves us nearly 9K to find) but at least I can see progress.
- OH has been brilliant with the spending diary. I was very enthusutaic for about two weeks and have since ignored it, and consequently bought more 'little somethings'. Diary has revealed that we spend more on food that I reckoned!
- I've bagged up a massive £73 from the change jars that I'm going to bank today (£2 and anything smaller than £1). Really get a buzz from sticking coins in so have been swapping change from work collections for money from own bank account - which makes little sense in some ways but at least I'm not spending it! Not so many people leaving next month so can't see there being so much next month.
- Library fines total (since I paid off my whopping £44!) = £0 :T
Oh, but I've sold my first four items on eBay and am now planning to sell anything that isn't nailed down...
Glad to hear everyone is doing so well.

Stu,
As a fellow nurse can I just say I agree completley with what you say about the tax. I realised a long while ago that if I worked anymore than about 4 extras in a month, the amount taken off in tax would mean that I might as well have not worked them. Yes,my tax code is correct as well. Sure its not exclusive to nursing but it is very disheartening when you are trying to save up.April £5 a day challenge- £15.05/£1500 -

It's Japanese. You could drive it down Baghdad High Street with "I love George Bush" written on the side and it'd still be going when you came out the other end.
But if not this might help you:
