Excellent work Tara, you guys are quite inspiring. I'm certainly one of those 'i want it now' types, so saving is hard, but this forum is a great help! :)

    Hello All
Can I join in? Not sure how it works so someone must explain lol. We are currently renting and at tops have a couple of hundred spare each month, however we have just cleared all our credit cards. Have extra credit on sofas and white goods but would rather continue paying them so we can start saving for a deposit. At the minute it is £0.00 which is very frustrating. How much do you need for deposit to buy a house plus extra fees?

Hi All, update from me; I have just added another £900 to the total now up to 35% of my first deposit goal. I just can't wait for pay day to see that percentage rise.

Problem now is payday can never come round soon enough! Not that I want to spend it but to see savings grow. It would have been the former a few years yrs ago though. Im also a 'I want it now' person and this process is teaching me patience but its a challenge most of the time.

I don't think I've done an update for a while, I should really put it in my sig! :)

With this months payday savings it takes our combined total (mine and girlfriends) to £91,932.67! :j

Can't wait to reach the £100,000 mark!

Well done everyone! Keep it up! :)

Right now the minimum requirement is about 10% deposit but you might want to increase that to get better rates. From the posts on this thread people are going for £1,000-£10,000 for fees but please dont quote me on that. I'm going for £3,000.
