:eek:TK Maxx now only let you have a refund or exchange within 14 days and then only with the receipt. If you have no receipt or more than 14 days have passed then they will not exchange at all.

Perhaps they got lots of abuse from shoplifters?"Love you Dave Brooker! x"

seems a fair policy?0

I personally wouldn't find this a problem. I know that I actually want something before I buy it and with clothing take less than 2 weeks to notice something doesn't fit.0

have to admit that 14 days seems fair enough to me, unless the item is faulty then that can take more than 14 days (first wash for eg)0

quite fair, they're not obliged to give any refunds for non defective goods.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

What about goods that they damage by taking the security tags off them, or is that just my local store?"Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

The 14 day policy is what they are kindly offering as an extra. Some shops don't give you any period to exchange. Its more than fair on the refund front, and bearing in mind the mish-mash of stock they sell, perfectly understandable on the exchange front.
If you bought an item and didn't discover it was faulty until a month later, this would not limit you.0 -
All the above is true but 2 weeks is not long in advance to buy someone a present, especilly home stuff for a wedding, or to get stuff last minute before a two week holiday and be stuck with it afterwards with no hope of an exchange if it doesn`t fit.0

The reason they changed their returns policy is due to the amount of people trying to fraudently claim refunds. My son works for them and he has said the volume of people claiming refunds is higher than with most other stores.....due to the variety of items they sell, many unscrupulous people bring items from other stores claiming they bought it from Tk Maxx and wanting refunds, also items that have been shoplifted from the stores are bought back by the thieves so that they can get cash.
Blame the shoplifters and fraudulant claimers not the stores. Thanks to all comp posters:ADo not take life too seriously; you will never get out of it alive0 -
