I did a search of cash machines in which to use my nationwide card, and searched for banks or atm machines that did not charge a fee and although the catagory was there i could not find any in malaga..........so presume a local fee is nearly always charged in most places.Political?....I dont do Political....well,not much!0

Use your nationwide flex account card . No handling charge , rate is between Tourist rate and business rate !! So to sum it up , the rate you get is better than at any high street or internet firm would give you , with no fees and you only use what you need at the time .0 -

Can someone tell me why the pound has been going up against the euro? Is it a case of diminishing confidence in the euro?
Also, I've noticed that at 8.00 am the pound usually dips sharply; it will then creep up. However, today it started well and did better.

At present the rate is 1.14. Having been 1.45 18 months ago I would not say that 1.14 is much of an improvement! It had fallen close to parity with the euro but the realization is now starting to happen that the eurozone is also in a bad way. Our situation has been well publicized for some time with dire warnings from the Bank of England whereas the eurozone ministers have been minimizing their problems. The data coming out from the eurozone is now speaking for itself however.0

i've just noticed that one of the Bank of England policy makers, Andrew Sentance is due to speak later today (9.40am)
Last time he spoke, he rambled on about UK being set for long deep recession, worst than the annything else post-ww2.
Obviously he is correct, but markets just pick up on any negatives said by people like him, (even though its stuff we already know) so mind your eye later......Please take the time to have a look around my Daughter's website www.daisypalmertrust.co.uk
