Hi. Hoping someone on here can help me. I am wanting to transfer @ 65,000- 70,000 euros from a Santander account in Spain to the U.k. I have a Santander account over here (previously Abbey) or is it better to use one of the exchange speciality companies. I do have a cheque book for the spanish account. Any advice anybody???

One thing to be careful of make sure you put the Nationwide DEBIT card in the ATM & not the Nationwide CREDIT card cos then that will cost you loadsa money !!!!

I would use www.xe.com open a trading account (takes 24 hours) and you can transfer euros into any uk bank account at good rates for free. For example, today 1000 euros would come in at

    1000 EUR = 841.04 GBP

    1 EUR = 0.8410 GBP

    1 GBP = 1.1890 EUR

Rates may vary at time of booking.

I've used crowncurrency for my dollars in the past, but where is best to get my euro's from. I'll be changing £300 for a weekend away 11/6.
