For protection in your room I think the mozzie machines that run on liquid are a great improvement over the old type that used a pad each night. One bottle will last for a whole holiday and can be left on 24hours a day.

last couple of years I have used life systems mozzie repellent (I get eaten) that you can buy in Lillets - about £6 or thereabouts.

When I popped in this morning I also bought some wrist bands from there, different make but will try anything!
Aim to win in 2013 - a holiday somewhere nice, New York break, treats for family & friends & some cash would be lovely!!!

got back from laganas last sunday.it was mozzie central out there.we use a liquid plug-in in the room and leave it on all night.i used mosquito milk from boots and my wife used jungle reppelent.neither of us was bite in the whole fortnight.the couple that we were with used something they bought in the mini-mart out there and were bitten to death.dont know if it works but we always use a lemon scented soap to wash and shower with whilst on holiday.whatever you use dont let the little !!!!!!s spoil your holidays.have a great time.:D

We went to Thailand for 2 weeks and for the first week used Jungle Formula extra strength body spray http://www.jungleformula.co.uk/jfrange/extrastrength.html and Original Source Lime shower gel (apparently mosquitoes don't like citrus smell) and didn't get one bite. We ran out of both in the second week and bought a repellant spray from a local pharmacy and were eaten alive. Got the Jungle Formula in Matalan and it was very cheap.

Avon's Skin So soft doesn't work for me.

I've tried everything believe me! I swell up like a balloon if i get bitten. I always had to take 2 weeks antibiotics with me on holiday and my doc told me one time to take brewer's yeast for 2 weeks before going on holiday and also take them on holiday (works in the same way as marmite). You take 2 or 3 (canny mind) 3 times a day - i have not been bitten for 2 years now:j
