I think it was money well spent actually. Theres a lack of electronic Engineers going through university at the moment so much the government is giving young students grants and incentives to study physics and maths.
Im sorry if i'm not good at english, but one thing i am good at is my job, in an industry that has a workforce shortage...
So thank you for attacking me...
And I know theres spelling mistakes in this, but i don't have the time of day to pander to people like you on online forums... Im sorry, if you dont like reading it without perfect grammar then don't read anything with my name against it I don't force you to.
Try & take no notice.
Very prickily individual. One of the board guides had to set in on my thread, because after everyone had calmed down this person started being nasty & trying to rekindle the abuse.
Some people just come on here to fight, some come to debate & some come for advice.0 -
Neas, don't make yourself miserable. There is nothing special about buying a house: in most of Europe the majority of people spend all their lives as tenants, and it was the same in this country until the generation before me. And most of these people actually had happier family lives than we do.
Personally, I bought my first property when I was 35. No problem. And by the way, I don't know anyone who is a BTL landlord.
I also think you need to reconsider what is essential: your post talks about running a car as if it were as necessary as water. It is not: running a car costs a lot, and if your priority is buying a home then you need to explore other ways of getting around.
Above all, enjoy what you have got and don't let the thought of what you can't have right now ruin everything for you.0 -

Thank you, as you can guess I got a B at English GCSE and I have to really concentrate (and even then I don't get the grammar right) but luckily in my job its more on the detail then on typos and grammar.0 -

Or this??? That is untrue. You really shouldn't post things about people that are untrue.0 -
Thanks for everyones input.
I feel much better now. You guys are right I got myself thinking inside the box.
I can still have a family renting, and continue saving for a future with my family, its not a big thing even if all my family pressure me that thats the 'right way' to do it.
I will hope for this house price crash and continue to save like mad. I have sympathy for those on the debt wannabe forums because at times it feels like im living the same lifestyle as those guys, tooth and nail... saving as much as possible even drips of water from a tap while brushing our teeth lol, or nabbing all the free conditioner shampoo things when on business trips at hotels.0 -

I have to do lol. South west water is a rip off. 750 quid a year unmetered or approx 400 quid metered. Every little helps.
First thing I did when i moved in was replace every lightbulb with energy saving ones from tesco.

You seem to have no empathy with the cost of education & how difficult it is to get on the property ladder for young people today.0
