I recently bought a bottle of spray on
Stardrops cleaner from Home Bargains it
    cost 69p,brill stuff.You could always
buy one first use it up and then
refill it so he knows which bottle to
    use.

I noticed the various different spray versions of Stardrops in a pound shop the other day (no HomeBargains around here). I didn't buy any because like Lilacpixie I'm still using up loads of stuff.

Obviously they all cost a pound but the bottle of 'original' seemed like best value as it was bigger and not paying for spray bottle. What I wanted to know is does anyone know if there's something special about the sprays that is better than original? I read the ingredients list but didn't help.

I started using stardrops last week and am a total convert! I have diluted it and put it into a spray container and it cleans everything brilliantly.
  • hi

If I dilute my stardrops as said above do I need to make up a new solution every time I clean or will it keep in the bottle without going funny for a while?
How often do you change the solution?

    thanks,
    haykey

I have bought some stardrops and would like to use it in place of the spray cleaners I use in my kitchen and bathroom. If I dilute my stardrops with water and put in a spray bottle, do I need to make up a new solution every time I clean or will it keep in the bottle without going funny for a while?

    Hi,

I don't change the solution i just make more when it runs out, which is every couple of weeks or so and it's fine.

    Afternoon all

I've just finished up with a 750ml spray bottle of Ecover and I want to re-use the bottle with the Stardrops (concentrated) that I recently picked up at the pound shop. I'm sure I've read that others do this, but I have a few questions:
    • Is it ok to use Stardrops in this way (as an all purpose cleaner in a spray bottle with water)?
    • Should I use boiled/filtered water, or will it make no difference?
    • How much should I use for the spray bottle? I'd thought 1-2 tbsps, but don't want to end up with millions of bubbles!

    Hints appreciated!

We use about 5%/10% and fill up with tap water.
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.

When my old stardrops bottle only had literally a teaspoon or two on the bottom, I filled it up with warm water and shook it hard.

Now I have a diluted bottle of stardrops, and a new bottle for emergencies.

Oh, I thought the pound shop were extracting the urine when selling Stardrops for £1. I think I last got mine for 80p in Boyes. :D
