So let me get this right.

You go on about claiming you didn't see it and then bleat on how it was a massive truck?
I've got some information for you which may help.

You were completely at fault. Be lucky she's not realised you've possibly bent the suspension on the 4x4.

If she was parked on the pavement then she'd be illegally parked!

Funny nobody mentions the fact that health comes before anything.

Hang on, I just spoke to partner and he tells me she had driven out infront of me and I ended up in the side of her as she suddenly stopped. I'm not making this up or adding to it to make it look good in my favour, I admit I was distracted at the time but the OH says she wasn't stationery. I only recall hitting her tyre when she had stopped moving.

    Would still be your fault.

So she drove in front of you and you didn't slow down?

what's health got to do with it?

Conor, have you been in a small car with this monster wheel stuck infront of you? Whatever the size of the "car" why is it people put their motors first instead of checking they are ok?

I didn't even bother with my car as I was checking she was ok, oh yeah and her truck.

MrsE she had made the turn, her rear end was sticking out across my path and she couldn't move forward as there was traffic in the side street preventing her from moving forward. I don't think she should have turned if her way wasn't clear to make a turn.

By the way, I was joking about the fact she was impairing my view. Just trying to make light out of a bad situation!

So she was waiting to continue fully/properly into the side road she had turned into?
So she started to turn into the road but was blocked from driving into it fully?
You're coming along the main (or mainer) road & hit her back end (or wheel) that was sticking out?

Still your fault, you went into her.
Susposing I'm turning into a road & a pedestrian runs across the road near the junction, I would have to stop sharp. That doesn't mean a car coming down the road can hot me & it not be their fault.

Anyway, you're lucky. She jumped in her car & drove off.

Obviously it wasn't safe for her to make the turn Tinkerbell. Health? Oh you know if I had been going any faster I could have just had whiplash, something minor like that, which I guess isn't important, cos the car has to be ok doesn't it!

Myabe I've misunderstood, but what it sounds like is: the Chelsea tractor pulled out in front of you in order to swing into a turning, putting her on your side of the road where you clipped her. The reason you couldn't see her enormous 4x4 was because it was obscuring your view of ... it

So it ought to have been your right of way, but she was in the way, so this sounds like one of those situations where being right about whose right of way it was was less important than stopping because your way was partly blocked. It sounds like your fault to me, I'm afraid. In future I'd recommend stopping your car and fixing the offender with a Paddington hard stare.

LOL @ Chelsea tractor! I was going downhill, she cuts across (going uphill) and she suddenly stops when I am close to her. (2 metres before I slam on the brakes.) I'd say that was dangerous driving on her part.
  • In my opinion the driver of the 4x4 was at fault she cut across your path and stopped something you could not have predicted if this had happened to me i would have demanded an ambulance and a solicitor LOL how any driver of any experiance could claim otherwise worries me
