Yesterday I was invited to a 'Cake and Coffee' morning, this morning  but I really wanted to go as it was a chance for me to get to know some other Mum's from my DD's class at school! So I sat down last night and planned today's menu from start to finish and instead of having ready made pasta sauce as planned and synning it, made the effort and made my own syn free tomato sauce. Then I set myself a limit of 1 piece of cake, and went along!
There was enough cake there to sink a battle ship but I stuck to my limit, had a lovely piece of homemade sponge with jam and cream, and really enjoyed myself!:D I've no idea how many syns it was, but the rest of the day I've stayed totally syn free so I don't think it will do too much damage over the whole week. My consultant is always saying you shouldn't feel deprived:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -

I'm trying to get my Wife to do the diet too which is going to be a struggle, but i wont force her into anything she doesn't want to do.
Good idea about the boots scales though, Thats if they'll cater for my weight :S Have trouble finding scales that go high enough sometimes so i'll check them out.
Welcome Gavin_West...It would be lovely for you if your wife would join you on it...but you can always take over the cooking and supply only SW meals the aim of the diet is that the whole family eats healthily!!
Good luck and keep popping in to let us know how you are doing

Hi everyone else
Well done to the losers and stick with it to the maintainers and gainers!!!
I am definately a gainer at the moment. this week however, I have been very good monday I had no syns but tuesday I had 23 so really that balances out over the two days. Today I have stuck to free food all day except dinner tonight, which I had sausage mash veg and gravy. The sausages came to 10 1/2 syns and i'm not sure about the gravy, but it probably used up my remaining syns allowance.
Tomorrow I am going for free food and HE's only all day and the same on friday as we are going out on saturday to the pub and having a curry special deal....£4.99 for curry, naan, poppadum, and a beer or wine..apparantly it is amazing food too. I just hope it stays dry so the boys can play outside on the play area.

I have been doing SW since 5/2/08, and poor DH has lost weight by my being on a diet. I haven't done it on purpose, but by cooking the low fat version of 'normal' meals, he says his jeans are now falling down
Poor man still weighs about the same as he did when we met 35 years ago, and really doesn't need to lose any weight :rotfl:You're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
after watching my brother loose nearly 6 stone and staying at target since November 07 I have been inspired and joined SW tonight. Can anybody tell me the syns for the Kenco Tassimo Latte I've been on SW website but it keeps coming up error. I have at least 2 a day will I have to give them up?0
