Confess. Say you've developed a dangerous addiction to fire eating - and apart from getting the Sunday Lunch done in double-quick-time, it's out of control and you need help...headoutthesand wrote: »He's a golf snob so wants the best of stuff and sees my 'income' from Ebay as a green light to buying golf balls etc as "technically i'm not spending money"
Every time you put something on ebay, you lose money unless you get more than you spent on it *including* your time. You are sacrificing money for cashflow.
Put his golfballs on ebay: Technically you're not selling them, because if technically he didn't spend money in the first place, then technically he never bought them in the first place."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

It's him who insisted I go and spend £2200 on a TV and surround sound, and when we got it, he said if I hadn't wanted to pay that I shouldn't have got it -
Bloody hell! £2.2k on a TV?!...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

I agree...DF, his parent & 2 brothers all play...me & the wives don't.
Why can't he take any responsibility for the bills & mortgage....erm, actually, maybe my experience should have told me: ex husband decided he wanted to sort the last mortgage we had - fixed rate for 5 years + cash back in August 1998. Come November 1999 when it was redeemed because we'd split up, all the £9k profit in the house was eaten up, along with another £800 EACH for legal & EA fees
I take that back - DON'T let him do the mortgage0 -
Sorry to butt in ladies, but I agree, I'd rather watch paint dry, than go and watch/play sport, what the big thing is with men in general wanting to go and play/watch is beyond me! Yes I am a fella & my DW is quite happy that I dont 'do' sport & I 'm quite happy she doesn't 'do' soaps on TV, so we have a happy medium, and do things together.Sparky0107 - Sealed pot challenge member #002. Smae here - I never watch a soap opera, and OH never watches sport (we do play badminton together, though)....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

he doesn't drive. no provisional or anything so the car is all mine :T
I managed to cut the bills last week but he nearly had a fit when i said to downgrade it would mean losing setanta.
He wanted a Wii at christmas but i told him he wasn't getting one unless he sold ALL his PS2 games and console. I think he honestly thought he was getting one as a surprise but he didn't :rotfl:
I think he realised that when i through him out last year. he realised he can't take the pee pee out of me.
done this the day after the carboot. i still catch him looking over my shoulder if he sees me logging on but he's got no chance. i can touch type so he's not fast enough to see what i'm typing
This actually sounds as though you are talking about a teenage 'kevin like' son rather than your husband!
It must be hard when you have an OH sabotaging your good intentions, and putting pressure on you like this - it sounds as though you are only doing the best for your family & children - he is the one with the problem if he is a snob and try's to keep up with the golf jones's. Could you go through all of your debt statements and perhaps highlight the items, explaining exactly what the money got spent on so there is no doubt in his mind that you 'wasted the money'.
What a !!!!!!! xx0 -
Put his golfballs on ebay
I know what balls i'd like to put on ebay but knowing my luck nobody would buy them....i don't go near them for free so i can't imagine anyone paying for them :rotfl:
I'm sitting here reading through all the replied i've recieve while i was at the pub  and all I seem to be doing is nodding and saying "I know what you mean but i've tried that already and it's not worked" (minus the whole graph thing Bathgatebuyer - that just seem like hard work and with a husband like this I don't need any more hard work)
P.S - i'm about 10 miles down the road from you:pOfficial DFW nerd no 551 - proud to be dealing with my debts
