I emailed Orange, almost 4 weeks ago, asking for info on how to go about it and could I buy an unlock code (subsidy code) from them.....I'm still waiting for a reply!!

I did the same with Motorola.....ditto the above!

Seems like no one wants to earn any money these days.

I found someone that could do it for £15. It will take 4 days but I didn't have to give them my phone.

Is there any way to unlock for free a LG Rhino KG290. This is my daughters phone and her dad helpfully bought it for her on Tesco mobile. We're all on O2 and she would get alot more calls and texts for her money if it were on O2 also.

It can be unlocked but not by free code, phone unlocking shop will use cables and hardware to unlock it.

Many thanks. The phone was really cheap, so didnt really want to spend money getting it unlocked... local shop quoted £13 to unlock, is this about right or should i shop around?

I know this one's been asked before but I wondered if the situation with Alcatel OT-C550's locked to Asda Mobile has changed - do they still need to be unlocked by box and cable or can a remote unlock be done on these now?
