Got a LG KP100 Ruby recently locked to T-Mobile. I suspect I know the answer to this but can it be unlocked for free. If not, anyone know if it can be remotely unlocked or is it a box and cable job?

Yes cable and box unlock I'm afraid, or you can ask to buy the unlock code off T-Mobile but that will be more expensive.

Hi my OH has a samsung E900 which he got with Virgin but he's cancelled his contract with them so I wanted to try and use it with a freebie Orange 'starter pack' thing which my kind newsagent gave me. However it won't let me as it is locked. I've looked on this forum and there was a code but when we tried it it said invalid sim card. Any help would be much appreciated to get me into this century for nowt. thanks very much
  • This is from another website, I dont usually post codes like this but do master reset by typing *2767*3855# without sim inside and wait for reboot till phone full power on. then now put sim and enjoy or reunlock the unit again.

There are no free codes I'm afraid, they have to be unlocked with cables and hardware which will cost around £10 each.
  • Hi all, has anyone had any success with unlocking a Samsung U800?
Have had a good look around online and struggled to find anything to suggest it is currently unlockable.

    Thanks Pete

It is unlockable what network is it locked to ? It can be unlocked by cables and hardware but not by free codes.
