Not sure what the above post means, but if it's to do with BB unlocks, this company have been getting good feedback over on the What Mobile forum http://www.freemyblackberry.com/index.html, WM forum references: http://forum.whatmobile.net/showthread.php?t=45342
No connection to free my bb, just thought it may help others.0 -
meant I always buy my blackberry codes off ebay, but other recommendations accepted
the rest of my reply was for all the earlier posts asking for various models to be unlockedEx forum ambassador

Thanks for the link watcherman, I can recommend "freemyblackberry". They really do give you a free unlock code and I got mine in 9 hours on Easter Sunday:) It worked too! There's an instruction page on the site so it was a lot easier to do than I thought. Thanks!0

Power on your phone
1- Enter code *7465625*28782# without a sim in the phone
2- Phone will display "Auto Subset Lock: Activated!"
3- Enter code *7465625*28638# without a sim again
3- Phone will display "Auto Network Lock: Activated!"
4- Now insert the sim and enjoy! Phone is Unlocked!
(NOTE: When you change sim to other operator repeat this process to unlock it for that operator also)

Hi,I got this info to unlock some newer samsungs without running into the problem of it resetting the imei to 00000000,
Have tested it on a e250 and a d900i,both unlocked easily. Checked imei,it is still original & phones appear to be fully functional....
PLEASE BACK UP YOUR FILES BEFORE UNLOCKING
This will also bring the phone to default settings
1. First do a CUSTOM reset: *2767*2878#
turn off the phone
2. take out the battery and sim and put wrong network SIM and insert only a half of it,
Very important so it won't ask for network password and shows "Insert SIM" message.(possibly in a different language)
Now put the battery ,and switch the phone on .(phone shows "Insert SIM" message.)
3.push the sim fully in at this stage the phone is still asking to "Insert SIM"
4. Make a FULL reset: *2767*3855#
5. The phone should reboot working with "wrong" sim inside.
6. Make a Change the NCK password to 8 zeros by typing: *7465625*638*00000000*00000000#
7. Now Disable network lock By typing: #7465625*638*00000000#
Phone is unlocked
Just thought this may be useful for someone,
Regards
***Would all users please remember you use these codes at your own risk, thank you Board Guide***
Hi Browntoa,
I have a Samsung SGH D900i phone (O2) that I don’t mind if it turns in to a paperweight after me cocking it up!! I am willing to try this as a test and report back here, but need some clarification before I try this. (not a wiz with phones so please be gentle lol)
My wife has just got a new phone on O2 so she now has the O2 sim from the Samsung in her new phone all working OK.
I have a sim from my Tmobile to use in this test.
You say “PLEASE BACK UP YOUR FILES BEFORE UNLOCKING
This will also bring the phone to default settings”
How do I do this? I don’t have the original O2 sim I have a new O2 sim that came with the wifes new phone. (I did say I am not a wiz with phones) What am I backing up as there is nothing on the phone that I want. (how do I get the default settings)? Or do I just ignore this and start at step 1?
In step#:
1 First do a CUSTOM reset: *2767*2878# turn off the phone
Do I press anything after entering this code (press select or OK) or just turn of the phone?
2 I take it now put the battery IN (in word missing) and turn on to see if it comes up with the message “insert sim”
3 To push the sim in fully the battery would have to be taken out again to push the sim home fully then restart the phone to make a full reset with code given in step 4. Again do I press anything after entering this code?
If the battery is taken out won’t this affect the “put wrong network SIM and insert only a half of it”
6 Make a Change the NCK password to 8 zeros by typing: *7465625*638*00000000*00000000# I take it should read make a change TO the NCK password? How do I find and do this? Or do I just type in the code?
7 Again do I press anything after entering the code?
Sir, I hope this makes sense. Sorry for the long post, I am not an expert like your good self, I did warn you that I am not a wiz with mobile phones, so if you could explain it would be very much appreciated.
Thanks LLook after the Pennies and the Pounds will take care of themselves. :beer:0 -
no idea, if you read the post again I quoted another users post
I now always advise to pay for codes, not try the free ways
