  • hi not sure if this is the right place to ask...
but my dd has had her Sony Ericsson k770i for 3 months. we still have the receipt..
some how the phone lock has been activated ..(she has no idea how this has happened ) and she has no idea what the unlock code is.
we took it back to vodaphone who has told us there is nothing they can do but to send it off at a charge of £40:eek: ...the phone was only £79 brought with her birthday money, is there any way around this..
i do understand that these things need to be in place for security to prevent theft, but i did have the receipt and proof of purchase
    any advice would be great

i have just read through a few of the posts, i am not trying to change networks, just trying to get the phone to work...any ideas?

you should be able to find a shop or market stall to remove the security code for less than £40

are you sure it's phone locked , and not sim security code (PUK) locked ?? a PUK code from the operator will reset that

AFAIK you need a clip to unlock sony ericssons as codes dont work. You are better off going to your local market and getting it done there
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

  • Tesco Mobile Samsung M150 Grey - is possible to unlock this (or use an Orange or Virgin Sim in this?)

    Hi,
sorry I can't help, but I'm also after a code for Tesco Samsung M150 so I can put Asda sim in it.
Can anyone out there help us both out?
    Thanks.

hi thanks but it is defiantly the phone lock,...she has used her sim in another phone since, the guy in vodaphone was practically saying dd was a lier and she had forgotten her pin, ..but she has never set the phone to lock.
took it to CPWH and they said it could be a software problem, in which the phone is covered under warrenty, but it is a hard one to prove..

  • Hi,
Being a newcomer to mobile phone unlocking, can you answer what is probably a daft question! When I put a SIM in to unlock the phone will it effect the SIM when I put it back in the original phone? I have a Samsung X450 that is on Tesco PAYG that I want to sell but I have no SIM to sell with it, I just want to unlock it first, and test it before I sell it. (Using my daughters BT mobile PAYG SIM to test it)
    Thnaks in advance,
    Adrian.
