Just pay the network that it belongs to £10 for a proper unlock code.

Hi - I'm not sure who your reply is directed at but I know it would cost me £25 for Tesco to unlock the phone - not £10. Also, surely we've come on here to try and get the best deal for ourselves? I'm happy to pay if I have to but as we know, it's not always necessary, and I would just like to find out what my options are.

only if its a contract phone, if it's Prepay, Voda will still want £20 for the unlock code.

  • Can someone help me unlock a Samsung SGH-T229 ? Its locked on T-Mobile. Can it be done by a code if I provide the IMEI or does it need a clip? Or another method?

Mine was a payg phone just purchase recently.

They ask for my voda number at the beginning, customary question I believe.
I didn't supply it as I told them it's a second number I use so I don't remember it. I request for the unlock code and was given it.

Read on hotdeals to say own the phone for over 12months if they ask, they didn't ask me.

It may be a recession but wholesale prices for samsung codes are between £9 and £13 depending on the server used and the quantity the unlock code company purchases in advance. This is the price that the trade pay and they have to make a profit on this.

So if you imagine they've paid £9 and charge you £13 they have only made £4 on your order. Unfortunately most people think that unlock companies make all of the money which sadly isn't the case.

Are these websites the ones that charge between £1.99 and £3.99 per chance?
