The burger ones went very quickly. Someone nabbed the one I wanted as I was downloading the job instructions - grr!

I don't think it's a regular exercise. It appears to be a one off promotion. That's just my impression from reading the notes though.

Does anyone else snigger when it says you have to reveal yourself? I keep imagining shoppers in flasher macs :o :rotfl:
Here I go again on my own....
  • This is the second wave of burgers RE have done and I understand there will be more.

Just received an email from GfK, saying jobs are available in my area, a phone one, a stately home and a furniture one have just gone on for me, so they're obviously working Good Friday.

How much money can one earn on avarage doing mystery shopping per month or per year, before or after tax?

Some of the companies want your banking details, how do you feel about that? Is it safe?

Some of the companies are in the US or on the continent, are they safe? Will they pay out?

I know they are meant in good faith but I think they often cause offence even when totally correct.

 are you agreeing I named the client ??, I am so confused, but going by the PM's I have received from a few people on here, I won't be posting any more job notifications anyway.

Guys this thread is a simple tool - alert people when there's a job, share information on them, whatever. Obviously breaking MSing company Ts & Cs is not great but really, if somebody does it (thet's IF somebody does it; I'm not accusing anybody) then a quick PM to them will suffice.

I can't believe people are being offended by posts on this thread - it was set up as an alert thread and nothing else, so if you see a release of jobs, post and let everybody know. Similarly, if you happen to miss a release of jobs on the MSing site but there's an alert on this thread, it will help you too.

It would be a shame for people to stop posting jobs on here as it is only really effective if everybody joins in - if there are only a couple of us doing it we're likely to stop bothering and just PM each other instead.

    Hi Dazzieboo

Not not implying at all that you named a client - I know the shop you are talking about and also could see that you hadn't named them. I was talking generally. Apologies if my post came across vaguely on that point - you had made this very clear so I didn't really see any need to reiterate it. Yours is the first one I've seen that was incorrectly chastised. I suppose I was trying to be careful so as not to offend the people who post the 'advice' too as they have a point *usually*!

Most of the other posts are correctly and probably helpfully telling people not to name clients but as I said even when this is the case it does seem to wind people up and personally I don't think its that necessary and certainly it would be simpler to do as a PM.

Please do keep posting as the actual motivation for me posting about this is someone else was making useful posts, got 'told off' and then stopped posting. I've noticed and been sad to see people disappearing before after such 'advice' so it would be very ironic and I'd be very sorry if my message actually caused someone else to stop posting too.

I'll be off to my eggs now. Happy Easter!

I think some firms are running systems where they are not actually giving you a job but trying to get money out of you
