Are there any options now available to someone driving to the Belfast city airport as parking there I am sure would cost quite a bit.
  • Last time I went to the city airport, I parked in Sydnham at me mams house, got a taxi round, cost less than a tenner, same on return. Perhaps if you know someone around that area they wouldnt mind you parking in front of their house ;)

Thanks for that, however I am not from Belfast so that option is not available to me I'm afraid.

I just tried to book with Old Schoolhouse Parking, is it normal for him not to take name and car details? He just wanted my time of arrival and that was it, very odd.

Yeah, i was unsure at the time too, they just seemed a bit slapdash but i had no probs & would definately use them again.......;)
What if the Hokey Pokey really is what it's all about !!!

Used them the other week and they did take name and reg. Just as well as they weren't going to let me in until i told them i had booked.
£15 for 6 days and was picked up within 5 mins of phoning on return. Good service and run by "characters" . Will definately use them again.
  • i wouldnt bother with old school house airport parking much longer its gonna be closed down soon enough.

The land owner has not got permission to use the land as a car park, so insurance is therefore questionable but i do know they have recieved a stop order and a closing order
  • On the website and on their vans, they state £2.50 a day.
But when you get to the office there is a handwritten notice:
    1-2 days £8
    3-4 days £10
The costs are only £2.50 a day if you park more than 4 days - this is nowhere stated except when you arrive to park.
I arrived for one day's parking and hadn't enough money, as I wasn't expecting to be charged £8.
When I asked was the price not £2.50 (I was genuinely surprised at the charge of £8), the manager began shouting at me, "You can't expect me to run people to the airport and back for £2.50!" He then launched into a tirade about not ringing for the minivan for the return trip until I was actually outside the airport.
I had used them before, but had not come across this fare hike, nor had I expected to be shouted at for merely asking a question.
Goodbye to the Old School House - I shall be using easipark from now on. As a frequent flyer I have always found them courteous to their customers.
