Good for you using cloth nappies

I use an eco-ball for everyday washing and it works well. I must admit I use Lidl non bio powder for very dirty washing. (Someone on here yesterday said it contains much less phosphates so even better reason to use it) I don't know if the eco-ball would work for this. I haven't got round to trying that yet.

Hmmm, think I might try them.
I love my cloth nappies! :o Can't understand why more people don't use them.

Hi, I have them but tend to use ecover or clearspring. Eco balls are ok, but I feel a dirty wash needs a bit more cleaning power. My son has eczema and he is fine with eco laundry stuff. I have probably had my moneysworth from the ecoballs but doubt I'll be buying some more.

I used them, then ended up having to throw away some of my clothes. They didn't work very well during the summer :( never again, but some people get on with them fine.

Hiya, we have a long running thread on these so I'll add these posts onto the end of it.

Since posts are listed in date order you'll need to read from the beginning :)

Hi, I have tryed wash balls. Bought them from QVC.
I found they did not get the stains out of the clothes.
If winter comes, can spring be far behind?

Ive got some. They do make your clothes feel soft so you dont need softener.
Ive found that the recommended time for washing with these is the 30 minute cycle so if your machine doesnt have this, they wouldnt be worth it(wouldnt last as long?). My OH has filthy collars and they dont manage with them so they are washed seperately.Everything else comes out looking fine.
I got my ecoballs because I want to divert the wash water in the summer for watering the garden and didnt want the detergents in the water.

I have done a search but couldn't find anything - thinking of buying these ECO balls but what are they like?

Thanks in advance for your feedback ;)

I have used them- they are ok- difficult to tell when the balls need changing. Not really suitable for whites as they leave many stains in. Probably ok if you don't have grubby children! If you decide to buy them i noticed https://www.spiritofnature.co.uk has them VERY cheap.

I'm now experimenting with soap nuts!

I've used soap nuts and I'm a bit disappointed. Although I'm not sure if I used enough so am giving them another go next week.
My mum uses eco wash balls and says they're quite good althought there was a thread here last week about them hang on I'll find it...
