I've selected, copied (via ctrl keys, not available with mouse for some reason) and pasted, but nothing happens when I click on submit reply.

I use macros.
Select the text you want to quote and right click copy.
Go to the other thread you want to quote in.
TYPE:
[noparse]PUT THE QUOTED TEXT HERE
RESULTING IN:PUT THE QUOTED TEXT HERE

use markup!I’ve tried cutting and pasting, but all that did was to provide a link to the previous thread, which wasn’t what I was trying to do
..and copy/paste in between
The good news is doing this is now allowing the text to be copied (don't know why I don't have a copy option when right clicking).

the same works for hyperlinks (again, remove the spaces), [ url=www.google.com]google[ /url] becomes
