This is the reason I have joined MSE today to voice my opinion on CEX
ABSOLUTE RUBBISH.
Got my chq today...only half of what I agree it should be....its only taken 2 months:confused: customer services (when you finally speak to a person) are not 'all there' and when I got to the correct dept to make a complaint they just said theres nothing you can do.
I also think MSE should stop advertising this company....ENVIROPHONE has been really good in the past and I will use them again in the future.
This was a very expensive and time wasting excercise I do not wish to repeat.

• Despite several e-mails, letters, phone calls and some vague replies from Adebisi Bankole still no payment from 14th January 2008!

:exclamati Goods sent by courier and signed for by Luke Fallow, still they do not recollect receiving them. :exclamati

Order progress on screen shows still awaiting delivery, yet they have changed status of some items.

:exclamati When they send goods back they are in worse condition than when they were sent, with inadequate packaging. :exclamati

 Our experience of CEX is very poor, we will certainly not be using them in future

Hi,
I live near a CEX store and I always get told they dont have cash.. at one time this was only an hour after they opened!

Also Trick, My DS was received the 20th Jan so your payment should come soon but I dont know..

Dont even go there with the customer services

They always have cash on Saturday afternoon, that's when I go.
• icon13.gif Despite several phone calls, e-mails we have not received any payment for the phones we sent in January.

icon4.gif It just sums up CeX, totally incompetent and not worth the effort icon4.gif

icon2.gif Better off selling them on e-Bay!!

Please take them off your web-site we would not recommend them.

I have never had a problem with them and WOULD recommend them. I have sold DVDs, video games and my digital camera. You wouldn't be better selling anything on eBay with all the fees and inability to leave negative feedback.

cex offer the best exchange prices on entertainment goods, despite poor customer service, this is also reflected in their really poor pricing of dvds etc, some brand new games often have a higher trade in value meaning you could make some profit if you spend enough time routing around

I also experienced atrocious customer service in connection with cash for mobile transaction sent via post rather than a store visit ... vowed I would never recommend them to others or deal personally with them again - stay well clear of their postal services ... store visits are probably a much safer way of dealing with these jokers.

I haven`t tried their postal service....I dont think I will now, but they gave me £42 of instore credit for some 360 games that GAME only offered £20 for.... so maybe its best to visit the nearest store
I would love some decent telly on a Saturday night

Well mate, i sent off 4 mint mobile phones to them on the 15th January - value £110 - ive had no payment.

I have phoned 7 times and spoken to the most stupid people on the planet who are slopey shoulders and say a cheque is on way....still nothing. emailed 8 times and had no response.

At first they claimed they hadnt received the goods - but it was sent next day special delivery (£10).

So far im down the £110 in phones value, £10 postage, my time, and cost of calls.

CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHO I CAN SPEAK TO?
I got the idea to use CEX from here, should of sold to EBAY - almost 3 months now its ridiculous.

i sent a phone off to them on 28th january and ive emailed them 5 times and i got a email today saying that my payment was issued on 1st febuary by bank transfer but i have bot recieved it.

They only have money when people buy things. I usually go on a Saturday about lunchtime and they always have cash at the one near me.

But the store always stinks like BO.
• Hi guys i have also have a massive problem with CEX. I sent 2 mobil phones away worth £210 in total on January 10th. I packaged them in the same box and apparently i should receive the money in the next 3 working days for one of them but the other never arrived, despite being at most 3cm's away from the one they've received, i packaged it well but i didnt think i'd hid it!!!!! Anyway i have jusy made a complaint to them so i will update the post with how that goes but im not holding my breath but i get the feeling i might need to go legal on this one, good job my friend is a solicitor.
