    Had a lovely afternoon, got a few bits done, treated DS to a little kitchen because he loves them when we go to playgroups, hes played lovely for an hour with all the cooking bits from it, just put it together and in his playroom, both DH and I excited to see his face in the morning.

    I've seen both sides of the NHS, both sis and my dad have had major problems with op's going wrong, so much so that my sis has been left with a hand that doesn't work and successfully sued. Saying that my DS wouldn't be here without the same hospital, nearly lost him at 6 weeks old. The consultant said 'you know your baby, pay no attention to what the monitors are saying, you tell us how you think he is, we trust your instincts more than machines'. We were really lucky to have quick and brilliant doctors. Reading others experiences how made me realise how lucky I am, so sorry for the things some of you have been through.

    See you all tomorrow xx

    Well another crazy day here, went to course this morning and the woman over the whole thing called me into her office (i thought i was in big trouble:rotfl: ) turns out that the company that fund the center have a thing where if someone is doing a course there and there situation is difficult they can be nominated for an award (which is 500 pounds) and the center manager wanted to nominate me because of being a carer for hubby. The tutor then told her that DD has a disability as well which the center manager never knew. Anyway i'm being nominated, i don't think i'll get it as there is only 6 people who will receive it and over 100 be nominated but it's nice to be thought of.

    Any how boys room done today because i couldn't look at it anymore, think i've pulled out a months washing.:rotfl:

    Haven't had a chance to really read the tread just wee glimpse but i'll get a catch up tomorrow as i'll be at home all day.
    Right gonna make a start on the kitchen and do a few loads of washing.

    AnW'smum i've had my yellow jumper on all day and you've been in my thoughts, sending big ((((hugs)))) for you and your kids.
    Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
    And things go wrong no matter what I do.
    Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
    But you've got the love I need to see me through.

    Big, big !!!!!!!!{hugs}}}}

    I suspect that was the verdict you were expecting but I suspect it's been very difficult to hear it out loud, and publicly and all over the press. I suspect you're beating yourself up in that you feel you should have done more to help your man. I suspect you feel very guilty.

    You shouldn't.

    From what I've read, Ian was under intolerable pressure trying to do the job he loved in the way he was capable of doing. But bureaucracy intervened and pressured him too much.

    Oooh, and this is sooo easy to say, but I need to say it. Now the inquest is done and the verdict is given, you can move on - slowly but surely. You have two beautiful children who need you.

    I shall get a balloon on Saturday and let it free with you all in mind

    AnW'sMum - Soappie has expressed what I would love to be able to say. As I'm lacking in that dept, I'm echoing her sentiments. I'm just so so sorry xx
