Evening all ..... I need to try and keep with flying this week, as DH has visitors to the house on Friday, and I just hate the idea of people in the house, if it's not spotless.

I'm glad PigPen has gone for the stairs etc tomorrow, as mine are pigging, and with 43 stairs ... I'd best get it done, LOL!

Today, has been lazy ... but fret not .... 2 loads of washing been done and dried using ye olde line and airer. Oh and we've (ok, DH has, I just supervised) ..... cooked a gammon joint for the purposes of slicing for having ham to the ready. It will be interesting to weigh it tomorrow and see how the cost compares with the £3.55 per 100g normally paid.

Also, DH is just sorting out the chicken stock made from the chicken carcass ... and of course the ham stock .... LOL ....

    Right, list time:

Meddling Monday- Living Room, Hall and Stairs
    Level 1
    Vacuum floors and sofas
    Level 2
    Dusting, even if around everything
Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe
Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets
Are there any DVd's/Videos etc you can rehome?
    Level 3
Wipe light switches, sockets (make sure they are not switched on!!) and banister
Clean windows & any other glass like mirrors, pictures etc
Tidy shoes, coats and bags .. Are there any that need rehoming?
Wipe skirtings, doorframes and other paintwork
    Extra Mission:
Pick one or more of the following tasks –
    • Paperwork clearance.. spend 15 minutes minimum sorting through those piles of paper.
    • Vacuum under furniture you can manage to move without hurting yourself
    • Clean a radiator or two.
    • Binbag dance.. Get a binbag.. fill it and bin it!!!
    • HHI.. get that mountain gone!

Failed miserably last week! Was away on business for a couple of days and had a lot of work on so was seriously behind all week.

Working from home all of this week so will make a huge effort to keep up this week!

Hope everyone has a good week

    Hi
Is it OK if I join in too? I’ve been really inspired by this thread to get my bum moving and organise the housework more, so thanks all you flyladies, the house was getting a bit dirty so I really did need to pull my finger out a bit. :o
I have done my own list, which I will cross off as I do the jobs through the week.

Tuesday- Clean Kitchen Washing – DS’s clothes
Wednesday- Dust & Hoover Downstairs Washing - Towels
Thursday- Clean Toilet & Bathroom Washing – My clothes
Friday- Dust & Hoover Upstairs & Stairs Washing – Sheets (Fortnightly) & OH’s Clothes (he does this himself :) )
Saturday- Mealplan & Online Shopping Washing – DS’s clothes

Last week I put the list up on the fridge as a reminder and on Wednesday my OH actually offered to hoover the downstairs as he saw it on the list!! Result!! :j
    Have a good week everyone

Basically thanks to all for DW recommendations, we have bougt a new one - a Bosch - and it arrives on Thursday.

Had a very nice Mothers Day. Had a lie in then kids (who had just got from "shopping" at Asda :rotfl: ) gave me the cards they had just got and some they had made from kits off the net with Daddy. And some flowers as well. They also got some for Grandma (MIL) who was supposed to be coming out today but she cancelled so I got hers too. (Big long ranty moan could follow but I am not going to indulge right now).

We then went to a NTY place for the afternoon took a lvely picnic and just spent the afternoon the 5 of us going round the playground and walking round the gardens etc. Just lovely. Also had DS biscuit he decorated for me at school :p

For once I managed to organise Mums present on time - a lovely flower arrnagement from Sainburys online, in a gorgoues hessian bag planter thingy , due to be delivered today. But she never got them   I just told her it was a present , I didnt mention flowers. She then went on to say she was glad my brother didnt get her flowers as she doesnt need them and doesnt want any   Oh well maybe she'll like them anyway.
