Morning all, no snow here, just glorious sunshine :)

For once DH and I set the alarm clock ... and got up ..... before DD woke up (a miracle!) She looked most confused to see her parents up and vaguely functioning!

    As a consequence ....
    • Load of washing on
    • 3 mile "run" completed
    • Hob cleaned
    • D/w emptied and re-loaded
    • Stock put into freezer
    • Kitchen bin washed out
    • Household bins emptied (black bin day today)
    • Shower cleaned (thought I might as well whilst I was there, LOL)
    • Kitchen surfaces all cleaned
    • Sink polished
    • Washing up put away
    • Microwave cleaned inside and out
A work day for me today, so I'll catch up with the stairs / living room etc., later ... but I'm feeling quite chuffed I've done so much and that it's only 11:25! It'll never last, LOL!

ROFL!!!!!!!!!! I've just had scottish power on the phone.. I think they'll be thinking twice before calling again..

They were calling about an 'overdue amount' (£103) I had 2 bills in 6 weeks and a balance to clear from powergen from when we switched in December.. well.. did the poor guy get it down the phone..

'do you have a credit or debit card and I'll take payment now'
    DEEEP breath.... and without stopping...
'yes I have a debit AND a credit card but I do not have the funds available on either so you'll just have to wait. Paying my mortgage and putting food on the table for my 8 children takes priority, which I am certain you will agree. This is a bill for 4 weeks worth of usage and my next bill is not due for another 2 months by which time this one will be long since paid; as and when I can afford to do so and if you want it any sooner I suggest you tell me where I can obtain further monies from because I am trying my best here and having just had to clear £300 outstanding from powergen & the fact my last bill, for 2 weeks usage was paid immediately I think a little bit of leeway and understanding is required in this situation. and, furthermore.. if you continue to make threats like this I will simply move back to powergen who never had any issue with I was just struggling financially and hoped you would save me a little bit of money and had more ethical methods of generating electricity and you were recommended for having superb customer services then you badger me like this.'.. At which point I was forced to take a breath...

'Ok' he says 'I'll out a note on it will be paid by the end of the month. Thank you for your time' and hung up.. super quick...

He won't be calling again!! lol

Laundry collected from upstairs and DD3's wet bedding AGAIN!!

    ooh post...

Hello all, I'm back but I don't know how much I'll be posting.

Ex-OH and I are splitting as in moving to seperate places. He's moving closer to where he works, and I've just applied to the council for somewhere else to live. So the next six weeks while I wait to hear from them I'm going to be decluttering, packing up what I can, and doing some touch-up-decorating so I can try and at least get some if not all of the deposit we paid back. Its no longer amicable (how can it when he's got a new girlfriend and is making my life a living hell as he won't even try to try again. ) I can't go onto benefits until he moves out, he said he was going this week, but I've asked if he will stick it out until one of us has a permenant place to stay as its almost the Easter Holidays and our daughters birthday. I know its prolonging the agony but there's so many decisions to be made about who gets what, what happens to the finances (we still have about £6000 in debt and thats WITHOUT his student loan!) and whats going to happen to DD. The fight I had in me to try and make things work has left. I just can't take the stress anymore. I just want to disappear.

Guess I had better get started though. I need to wash dishes, change DD's bed (it didn't get changed yesterday when it should have as ex & I were too busy fighting - what a pleasant mothers day that was!) and I haven't a clue what else. I just can't seem to function properly.

    Laters.

Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

I'm in again this week. Going to be much better though, when DH home I tend to slack off on anything!
Had a lovely mothers day, cards, chocs and a lovely gardening set for my soon to be veg garden. Hugs to those who didn't have such a good day. Went to my best mates yesterday, her oh away so no pressies. Went to MrT on way and bought chocs, flowers and card for her ds1 to write and give her. She said she knew I'd do that! Her mum passed away on New Years Day this year so it was very hard for her. We cheered her up a bit so was glas I went. Took my m and d and b out for food, had nice meal. Elvis was ok! Just over 2 hours in a VERY cold circus place, even Elvis was cold! Very numb bum and very hungry. Had a lovely Thai meal afterwards. So good mothers 'weekend' had by all.
Done floors downstairs before school run today, at work today as boss needed me to.
    My list for today:
    school pickup
look round bookfair (hopefully not too expensive!! yeah right!)
    swimming lesson for dd1
    Tea(dh cooking while at swimming)
    Read school books
DD1 learn 2 more lines for poem recital thingy
    bath
    bed(kids)
polish and clean stuff in lounge (will do stairs thurs as thats day off this week)
Start to sort papers, really need doing
Ironing - only 4 dh tops!!!
    lunch for tomorrow
    s&s kitchen

I think that is enough. I make a list normally which is far too long and I end up doing hardly any of it. I must try harder!

All those in the wars hope today is less painful. Anyone feeling down or ill or just want one - ((((hug))))

    Will catch up later.
    Have a good day. x
Need to sort my life out! :T

Nicki ((hugs)) - hang on in there, hun. Horrible situation for you. You can always sound off to us - glad to see you back - everything crossed

Mudbath- that sounds painful - hope your paw is on the mend real soon

    Pigpen - how's that multicoloured a**e?

:hello: all newbies - there's gazzillions of you!! - the more the merrier

Sorry I haven't been around much - did an 80 hour week last week (urghh) but will be flapping again this week.

Have just been on phone to register office and we've moved our wedding day forward to Sat 23 August (Aug Bank hol weekend) so that our best friends can come - they were on hols for the original date but wouldn't feel right without them.

I'm going looking for a dress on Thu with a friend as apparently (rolling eyes) jeans aren't formal enough wedding attire :D

Need a big tidy up as the house is way too messy:-
    Wash up
    Put away
    Hotspot in hall
    Declutter living room
    WM
    Empty bags on study floor
    Asda shop
    Wash hair
    Sort fridge
    HHE

Sorry I've not had time to keep up with the thread the last couple of weeks so apologies to anyone who's had a tough time that I've missed

:coffee: for everyone, bit of late brekkie and then up and at 'em

    Squeeze ya later x
    I'd rather be watching CSI!

    Afternoon all

Mudbath, hope your wrist isn't too painful. I've never broken anything (that's tempting fate) so I don't know what it's like.

Only one load of washing today, it's been out on the line and dried and put away already. It was lovely and sunny and breezy earlier (though cold) but now it's cloudy and raining a little.

I stick to kitchen day on Monday, suits me better. That's all done and I damp-wiped the living room and computer desk. Vacuumed right through downstairs. Got a new quote for house insurance (less than half) and paid that. Must watch the bank account on Thursday when a lot will be going out before we get paid on Friday, can always move money temporarily and then move it back.

    That's about it I think.

Sorry about your news Nicki, it's sad when you can't stay friends but sometimes it's just not possible.

Welcome to all the newbies :)

(((hug))) Nicki hun.. I am sad to hear it has all gone pear shaped.. I hope something comes up sooner rather than later for you. It must be so difficult for you all. You know we are all here if you need to offload.

Ooh tiddles needs her bed I think!!

    *SCREAM*

she wants cbeebies.. so I put it on and she wants a specific page which I have no idea what she is on about.. I may have to squish her!!

She is deposited in her bed.. and she can go on it later when she is feeling more sociable.. but I know she is going to strip her bed and throw everything out of it.. towrag that she is!

I have reloaded the DW and am going to stuff 3 more things on ebay.. so I'll have 10 listed.. :D.. I have 2 more parcels to post and 2 to wrap but I've not got payments yet.

    anyone got the kettle on??

    Afternoon all!

Day One for me. Gonna use your list Pigpen - thanks for that. Hour and a half to get jobs done before I have to get DD2 up from her sleep and get DD1 from school. Already got DW and Drier on so off I go! Might just have to see who gets kicked out of Dancing on Ice first - sky +'ed it last night and made the mistake of starting to watch it whilst I checked my to do list.

Will check back later with my completed tasks crossed out!!
