jjef.. I have flashed my bruise at everyone who stood still long enough to see it!!!!!!! .. and the ones that didn't I showed them the pic of it on my phone!!!!! I am a tart!! lol

The next lot of washing is folded and waiting to be put away later.. HHC anyone??? lol.. hubby and I are going to do 30 minutes of boxing up in the middle room.. see if I can find anything else to fling/ebay/freecycle/charity shop etc... generally get rid of!!

We have been discussing what we will do in the middle room.. the beautiful curtains I bought are 2 ft too short.. I KNEW I should have measured them before I bought them.. but it is fine I'll put them up in my bedroom when we move back in there and get some others for the middle room. I may just buy the fabric and go back to my sewing class after easter just to make the curtains.. I have bought some fabric for in there but I don't want them as my bedroom curtains.. I'll talk to Him.. make him think he is important..

  • Bit late starting this week! Was up this morning at 5am to get a good start onthe week before work, but forgot to sign up! The past two weeks of (roughly) following the fly tips have been great. I wouldnt say the house is gleaming yet, but we have hugely decluttered (thanks to freecycle!!), and I am on top of the day to day chores like never before and the top floor of our three storey house is almost habitable. We moved 18 months ago and still had boxes upstairs waiting to be unpacked, mostly filled with old crap. All gone now, cept for one!!!
Finished all the ironing this morning! Did the oven last night, a hideous job if ever there was one. In the interests of economising, we have given up our quarterly prof oven clean (50 quid a time), and bearing in mind I havent done it myself in a few years, I did a good (enough) job.
This week I am tackling a drawer a day and spending 15 mins chucking out stuff from the top floor.
    Loving this thread!!!:j

Thats it! Not doing any more tonight!

Well, except from putting away all the washing on my bed before I can get in it and moving all the junk that is now on my bed instead of in the lounge or hall!

Managed to multitask earlier and get my hall decluttered, sorted shoe rack, coats, mopped floor, hoovered stairs, all whilst making a homemade pasta sauce with lots of veg in for me and DD1 & DD2.

Just had a much deserving soak in the bath with a glass of wine and a crunchie! Got to replace all those calories I used up cleaning earlier.

Week one, day one completed, bring on day two!!!!!!!

    Night all!

    Evening

Have missed a couple of days and just managed to catch up on this weeks thread (gave up on last weeks)

Pigpen - I do my middle room on living room day but its not a pit so ok, and my back room equivalent I think is my breakfast !!! dining room so is done on kitchen day, the utility usually gets forgotten unless I'm doing the white goods in there. Loved your scottish power story - me all over, and as for the bruise  . Thanks for the list

Lilme - thank you for all the strength and support you give us and good luck with the assignments

Mudbath - I missed what happened but sounds painful

Denise, Penpen and nicki nice to see you back

Welcome to angelnikki, nkjal, moneybubbles, summermoon, lubylou, madcatgirl and anyone else I missed

Nicki - big hugs, Manbash all you want to we love it. As for benefits my solicitor told me that even living under the same roof if we had split I would be able to claim but that was 12 years ago

Hugs for gingergirl, hope you feeling better and boddy.

Serena - the home sounds really promising and I hope it becomes a more comfortable place for her. I'm glad my nanny didnt have to stay in hers too long as it certainly wasnt the best and I hated the smell when we went in (although in the ambulance service I went in much worse)

Soappie can we have an operation ORF update (dont care if you make it up it was hysterical)

Chasing Butterflies - I WANT SNOW - We havent had any proper snow for 4 years

So what have I been up to
Mothers day was a bit manic as I'd done no flying last week so hoovered all upstairs and down and it took me 2 hours non stop - I dont usually do it in one hit so was worn out. Then went out to lunch at a new place and took mum and dad and my big bro caught up with us too. What I still cant work out is that on mothers day how I managed to pick up the bill including for my bro!

Been to work today and have since home cooked dinner, tidied the half dozen bits in DD's room, read her a story and come down here. So quick update before clearing away tea things and making lunches for tomorrow and preparing beef casserole for SC.

Meddling Monday- Living Room, Hall and Stairs

[strike]Vacuum floors and sofas[/strike] done Sunday

Evening all :) I feel like I'm going forward one step and back two .... DH announced tonight that he's going to be hanging the 2 dining room doors tomorrow (which in itself is majorly wanted/needed, draughty without...), but that in order to do this he has to alter them (read .. sawdust and lots of it ..... ), so that's my kitchen and dining room stuffed, which I'd started sorting today ... ah well. I'll try and do the list later in the day once he's finished (if he finishes, LOL)

    hello each

Yes, I'm still here but just haven't had a moment to spare this evening since I got in. Phone calls, dinner, stuff. And a major downtime on t'internet through a fault which was nothing to do with my end as it were.

Why oh why do call centres always insist you go through the same process of checking your modem? Just how many times do I have to say "my equipment is fine - will you please check yours?"

But, we're back up again without me rebooting my modem. And the evening is over and I must go to bed. Hugs to all who need them - and those that don't but might appreciate one anyway

Kaz.. when we went out for a meal on Mothers day .. I paid half and my mother paid half!!!! Go figure!!! So she paid for her my stepdad, my 2 sisters and one bf.. and I paid for us lot.. then because DS1 was working and missed coming out I bought him a takeaway later on! Next year make it quite clear who is to pay!!.. ie.. don't take your purse out with you!! lol

Zed.. we have the dining table in the kitchen. the middle room is worse than a pit and we have been using it as an indoor garage.. but it is being cleared.. in fact we can even see floor now!! It will be done on bedroom day in a few weeks.. but I am dreading having my bedroom downstairs I'll be forever in it and the children get up at God-forsaken o'clock so I'll be constantly exhausted!!! It will .. one day in the far and distant future be the childrens living room and they will get the pleasure of cleaning it once a week.. on a rota basis.. girls one week.. boys the next!

Off for my HHC .. ooh.. I'll get uniforms out first.. and bake buns for lunches!
