Well, I got lots done, but not everything on my list. I think it was the enormity of the parsnip task that overcame me
The chooks have had several treats of hot, cooked parsnip peelings :j
Ended the day feeling sorry for myself and taken for grantedHad a heart to heart with DS (the worst culprit) who's gone and tidied, dusted and hoovered his room, and found a load of stuff to eBay. He gets the profit (less charges) so should have a few £££ in his pocket for his holiday.
Off to w*** tomorrow, so have a good day!

DS1 breathing down my neck to get back on the PC so will have to type fast!
I gardened today, got back at 2.30 for a late lunch, and absolutely starving. I did a bit of the kitchen this morning before I left, but that is it for flying today.
I did have a longish chat on the phone with my sister. Mum has been moved this morning to the care home. She was upset and frightened when she arrived - my sister and Dad were there waiting for her, so she wasn't on her own, and settled in more happily then. We're all feeling a bit shell shocked at the moment, after six months in hospital, it's quite a change. We are sure that it is the right place, but still anxious to find out that everything is being done, if that makes sense! My sister rang this morning to ask when she could go in, and the manager said immediately 'This is your mother's home - you can come whenever you like, and stay as long as you want', which was lovely to hear after the strict hospital visiting times!
Must go - the children are doing a survey with one of the students from next door, and I haven't finished the washing up yet, she's just doing DS2 at the moment, so hopefully won't take too long. I need a cup of tea.
Hello to all the newbies! Don't burn yourselves out on the first few days of the week - there's more to come! And the rooms all come round again. It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Serena.. that is good news about your mum.. lots of visiting during the next few days while she ssettles in is VITAL.. the biggest and hardest part is the adapting to the new setting for her and she will be frightened and upset.
Give her a hug from me and know we are thinking of you all!! Is she likely to ever be well enough to come home to her proper house or is that uncertain still?LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
