polly - super cards -well done you & thanks for putting my card up:T

rainmac - my card was a pale blue card, I put a patterned silver piece of card in the centre, blue/silvery ribbon in the middle of that and the hearts were little silver brads I'd got. The rest was silver peel offs to go round the edges and I put blue heart gems at the corners.

Got to do a get well card now - OH's Mum had a fall yesterday and broke her hip so shes in hospital and hopefully, today having replacement hip operation. Not sure how that will work as she's got brittle bone disease and can see problems with her coping on her own afterwards. Still, cross that bridge when we come to it. She lives in Liverpool so we're miles away but OHs brothers are on the doorstep and will keep us in touch.

  • Mary - hope your OH's mum recovers soon. I understand why your OH is a Liverpool fan now, I bet he's happy they beat Everton. Whereabouts in Liverpool are they from?

Mary, so sorry to hear about OH mum, hope things are going to be ok.

Had a scare with my mum yesterday, she had a routine mamogram a few weeks ago and has had a recall to the hospital. She is beside herself with worry. I'm going to go to the appointment with her to hold her hand.

Here's my Christening card to go with the album book I showed you earlier in the week. I stitched the same 'L' as on the book as I like it so much ;)

The wording on the card looks slightly odd in the photo as it's stitched in thread which changes shade every couple of inches. Looks better in the flesh honest ;)

rainmac - best wishes for your Mum and hope all goes well. (((((:o )))) hugs for her and you -it's strange - our Mums spend most of their life worrying about us, then it becomes our turn to do the worrying.

melissa - OH was born in Speke -his dad was a policeman there. Now his Mum lives in Greasby -other side of the river. Liverpool is a lovely city........everytime we go and visit we make a point of going to have a look round, especially this year with the city of culture going on.

Thankyou all for your kind thoughts. We'll know more about how MIL is
once OH phones his brother tonight.

ooops...........sorry rainmac - got carried away and forgot to say what a lovely card that was (as always )

Just to let you know MIL has had her hip replacement operation today - will know more after BIL has been to see her. He'll ring either later tonight or tomorrow but hopefully all will be ok.
    Thanks for being so caring...................:A
