I know the feeling only too well polly but its silly really when you think about it. We all have our own ways and styles of doing things......I'm sure your are really lovely..........if I have a second look at some of mine then they're ok too.................it's too easy to be critical of ourselves so don't be.

maybe what you need is a new technique Polly. Try something new. Instead of envying other cards and thinking yours aren't as good, take the things you like from them, like a layout, use of paper or embelishments and try them yourself. The more you make cards and see others the better you get, although I don't see anything wrong with the ones that you are making and you are getting sales so you must be doing something right.

You said you bought the edge punches, you can use them in so many ways other than the edges, try things out.

Thats reminded me polly - I need to sort mine out a bit better than they are. I can lay my hands on the actual cards ok but I tend to buy packs of 'off cuts' from the craft shop (bits left over from their classes) and I've got quite a few of them in cellophane packs all mixed colours. I really ought to put them into some sort of colour order and sort those I think will be good for Christmas cards.

Polly, that is a lovely card, and I love the way you put the baby's name on it. No need to be critical, it is really good

Polly thats lovely..............no need to be ciritcal of yourself at all judging by that.
Well I've just finished off sons birthday card. Can't put piccy on (don't have the equipment) but here's a description so you'll have to imagine it.........lol

Brown corrogated cardboard stuck on the front of a card with two butterfly embellishments down the right hand side. In the middle I put a much smaller card with an embellishment on the front and inside the smaller card I stuck a small envelope I made from sort of beige marble effect paper with a small button to tuck it in. Inside the envelope is my Dads ID tag from WW2 (for some reason he had three and I'm trying hard to 'thin out' a lot of bits I've got of his. This morning to finish it off I raided my pot pourri dishes and found a small twig of dried cream ball like flowers and stuck that randomly across the top.A tiny leaf (very fragile -took three goes!) and a piece of a nut shell stuck randomly at the left hand corner of the card. -hope you can sort of visualise that...........anyway, I'm happy with the result and put it inside a plastic bag to try and keep it intact. Think I'll have to send it in a jiffy bag along with one I made on behalf of my Mum for him (she'd have made one herself had she not been bedridden now).
The one I did from her was cream marble effect card, contrasting card cut in a narrow strip and stuck down the middle..........three button embelishments on it and on the top left hand corner I stuck a black 'label' with 'Happy Birthday' stuck on it and popped a little ribbon at the corner. Oh and I'd trimmed the front of the card with my wavy scissors and stuck another contrasting piece of paper just inside the card.

    Hope you've got a good imagination................lol

I think if you did much more it could spoil it polly.........if anything you could put a few more of the small pieces on to give the effect of a spray of bubbles.......some maybe continuing down the right hand side and a few across the top left hand side .............just a thought
