Hi I am needing some help and thought someone on this thread might be able to help me. I am starting to plan my wedding and i want to make my own invitations i have found a design i like but i cant find any cards like the one in this pic i am looking for the same in ivory with hearts
    http://www.specialdaydirect.co.uk/catalog/product/26/0/tie-the-knot.html

A really nice design. I would try a few first but basically do this:
Set yourself a template on a craftmat ( they normally have a grid printed so are easy to line up ) of the A4 page with where the centre is.
Fold each edge into the centre lining up with the grid you have laid out.
This will give you the gatefolded card.
Insert can be added at the end but basically it's a printed text box ( 2 to a page & cut to size ) adhered to the inside top edge.
The hearts could be die cuts or punches that can be placed over the ribbon on 3D foam pads for added effect.

I'd try a few samples, the hearts on 3D foam, perhaps in a diff colour way etc. I have several heart shapes/sizes in my die cut shapes & don't think it'd be very hard to replicate.
Organza ribbon can be picked up anywhere so shop around for a good price & get enough ( even too much ) to avoid running out & not being able to get more intime.

If you paint the line you want to rip with a paintbrush dipped in water and then pull it apart when it is still wet you get a lovely feathert edge. This works really well with tissue and mulberry paper
Try and do a good deed every day.

    Hi,

I hope nobody minds me joining in. I just wondered if anyone would like to see a couple of cards I made.

I only started making cards about seven or eight months ago and soon got hooked and starting buying loads of bits and pieces everywhere I went.

The first photo is a Christening card my son's friend asked me to make for her godson. She was only 18 and didn't wany anything "holy" - just something nice!!!

This one was for my friend's little girl.

She adores Bratz so I downloaded a picture from the internet and tried my hand at a home made "decoupage". I printed the picture about five or six times and cut out bits that I thought would stand out more.

I was really pleased with how the "mounts" turned out. I actually printed the word "Bratz" and the Happy Birthday message from "Wordart" in word onto a piece of pearlescent paper. I think the coating on the paper meant the ink didn't soak in so I sprinkled gold embossing powder over it and was really surprised when it stuck when I heated it up. I stuck the pieces of pearlescent paper onto two different shades of glitter card.

My friend is a really good card maker and made me a lovely 3D card at Christmas. I used this card as a template for this Easter Card that I made for my nephew for Easter. This one was really quite "footery" and took me absolutely ages to do - and even then I didn't get it quite right but hopefully he won't notice. I cut a square in the blue card and then put a sheet of white card behind. I then cut round half the square on the white card and stuck the blue square on top. The white card is folded into quarters like a conertina and the edges stuck to the blue card. When it opens the picture then goes onto the inside too.

    I hope everyone likes them

They are really lovely Anic, well done! I love decoupage too, it gives depth to a card doesn't it? My favourite is the Christening card, that is so my style. I see you already use lots of different techniques, embossing, decoupage, heat embossing and ofcourse your aperture Easter card, You are really good and have a great eye.
