I just posted this over on the Home Bargains grabbit thread but thought I would post it here as well in case any of you don't venture over to the grabbits.

In Home Bargains today they had the following items...

Packs of 6 tri-fold blanks cards & envelopes in cream or white - 59p (size is A5 when folded and nice quality card!)

Packs of A4 sheets of Glitter card mixed colours(can't remember how many sheets - think it was 6 or 10) 59p

packs of 16 sheets of A4 holographic card - 5 different packs and each pack contains 8 sheets in 2 colours/patterns - again 59p

All those are excellent in themselves but the real bargains were some Fiskars Border punches and Fiskars Circle Border Punches - 99p each! :j :j I got 2 different circle punches and 2 different border punches but there were SELs for 3 other patterns that had already all gone

I found some links to the same punches I got for 99p today so you can see what you're looking out for - look at the prices of them!!

Yours cards are really lovely, Polly, you have done a fantastic job of them, very personal and unique, love them lots.

Ellionic: Those wedding invites would look really good and shouldn't be hard to make. You can buy A4 ivory card and fold it yourself but it isn't easy to get it exactly right, I would try on the internet. As for the heart, it isn't quite clear from the picture if the hearts have been partially cut out but I would use a punch and stick the heart over the ribbon to keep it in place with foam pads. They would look so good with a really striking colour ribbon, well done for finding such a lovely design.

I've got some of those cards - gate cards are they called - we went to a wedding last year and the bride had bought them for the invites and had some left over so she gave them to me. Never thought of putting ribbon round them and tying at the front before. Might have a go at that for MIL's birthday - not till June so I've plenty of time.......I did start doing one for her but I can let someone else have that (if it works out right..........lol)
I've been googling 'images' to try and find something that I can use for note cards. I write to Mum every week and she always loves the note cards I send her but the designs I've got she's already had several times...........thought I'd have a go at doing my own. Any ideas ?
