Ideas for card craft beginner

Lovely cards guys - polly, mary, bunbun

Bunbun, I'm not sure about adding '40'. Personally I would probably not add it but I'm quite a minimalist card gal but most would probably disagree. I think your card looks fab just as it is! If I were to put it anywhere I might add it onto one of the pretty presents so it doesn't detract from them as the focal point on the card. Would that work, what do you think?

Does he have a fave character - could you print a few of the same image off the web and use for decoupage?

thanks polly. I too am fairly minimalist which is why I hadn't put it on. will look at putting it on one of the presents but may leave it off and just write it inside. thanks for your ideas:D

bun bun - I wouldn't put 40 on it..........its pretty enough as it is.

Have same problem with sons 40th card and think I'll mention 40 inside it then it won't detract from whatever I decide to put on the front.

oooh another thing i wanted to ask - does anyone have a cuttlebug and are they any good??! (or know of anywhere with cuttlebugs on offer) i reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally want one - i love the 'swiss dots' embossing folder or does anyone know another way i can get this effect?

I havnt got a cuttlebug BUT i have used one and they are FANTASTIC mumoftwo has one and brought it with her when she came to visit me put it this way there was steam coming from it by the time she left :rotfl: :rotfl: im saving up for one after xmas wish i could have one now tho :rotfl: :rotfl:

Fine by me Polly...........with any luck I'll be able to drag out another card I made earlier...............lol
Builder back tomorrow and kids off school, one not going to work...........its all a bit hectic :j

I think it looks pretty as it is - there is just this thought of should you put 40 on cos it is a special birthday. I think my friend would prefer it without so will leave it.

I wondered that with my sons card but not sure he wants to be reminded that he;s 40..................lol
