i had posted about how to make a nice but really quick thank you cards
just to let people know i had an origami book from the library and i found the most fantastic way to make a fancy envelope and because i was just folding it took 30seconds per envelope, used fancy paper and wrote the message inside and think the recipients really liked it, turned out really different, would like to post up how but not sure how will be best to explain it hmmYes Your Dukeiness0 -
My DD is a teenager and not the most patient, so when she asked to make a card, I was pleasantly surprised. It is her first "official" one, she has made me ones before for mothers day etc. She is very artistic in other areas. It was lovely time spent together, they are growing up so fast...
yes, the cupcakes are heat embossed. Reehsetin, those thank you notes sound lovely, can you show us a picture, please?0 -
hope this works
from left to right top then bottom the corners are ABCD
1)fold a rectangle piece of paper in half and open back up
2)then fold a top corner (cornerover so it lines up against the fold in the middle,
3)do the same with the opposite corner (C) at the bottom
4)where the corners are folded you should have a white space from the folded corner to the edge of the paper(where corner A is), fold this in half so the edge of the paper meets the edge of the corner (repeat on opposit side)
5) fold corner A to bring the edge alongside the middle line (same with D)
just underneath you should see a little triangle fold to tuck the corners (A & D) into paper into
hope that explains it, if anyone else has a better explanation go for itYes Your Dukeiness0 -
Wow, mumoftwo, fab cards!!! Your daughter certainly has your creative talent. I love her card, she should be really proud of it - and you should be proud of her
. My son finishes preschool in two weeks and we went to parents evening last night, I was nearly in tears from hearing all the lovely comments about DS1. Why can't he be that good at home...?

The embossed cupcakes look sparkly, is that a special powder or do you do something to them? I've only embossed in silver...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

So sorry if this has been asked before, I'm at work and haven't got much time to lookaround on the net or this thread...I'm thinking about getting a subscription to this: http://www.crafts-beautiful.com/site/letsmakecards/ - but where do you get the envelopes from?! Are they included? If not, are the card blanks a fairly standard size?
And also, is it a monthly magazine, and if not how often does it come?
Thanks everyone - looking forward to starting card making as a hobbyxx
