rainmac - beautiful cards and what a lovely gift they'll make.
Notelets would be a super idea for someone as well.......they can always be varied a bit and they'd be a useful present.
polly - ribbon or thread challenge ?? Oh eck...........can't do much with a bit of ribbon except stick it on....................I'll see what my brain comes up with................lolMary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

That is a great idea Rainmac, give boxes of handmade cards.. already thinking of what I can do and for whom, was thinking of a box of notelets, just finished a commission of 24 notelets for someone, it gets a bit boring doing the same card again and again, so could vary them slightly. Do you think they would go down well?
Thanks for the new challenge Polly, ribbon/thread, love that!
I think notelets are a great idea! The only thing I don't like about the card boxes is that the inside look a bit of a mess as lots of the cards are different shapes and sizes. I like things to be nice and neatShould have thought this through before launching into making all the cards and maybe picked one size and made all cards using the same card blank? Maybe it's only me that this matter to?

Hiya All, Great card Polly, the gatefold one, I never did get round to doing that one
- oops!
I haven't been around lately because I've been camping for a few days. We went to an area in Oxfordshire very close to the White Horse (no, not a pub!, the chalked one on the hillside) and went to the nearest town (can't remember the name) for some provisions. There was a fantastic scrapbooking & cardmaking shop and I would have happily spent a few hours there but unfortunately I had other people with me that needed to get back (bah!) so I had to make do with just 10 minutes! Aaah! Still, probably saved me a pound or ten....
Loving your card making box rainmac, what a great idea! The receipient won't mind the cards are different sizes I'm sure, but we are all ultra fussy about our own work aren't we?...I don't want to make money, I just want to be wonderfulMarilyn Monroe0 -

Hiya, I'm writing this really late tonight - because I read the scrapbooking thread and Mrs Bones said the Big Bite (a fabulous eyelet tool) was going to be todays special value on QVC at 12am. After ordering that, they said there was going to be a 1 hour cardmaking show starting at 1am! Why do they show these good shows so late? Surely they'd get more viewers - and sales - if they showed them at a sensible time?
Saying that, they also said they are having a week of cardmaking shows starting every day (this week) at 2pm. Thought you'd all be interested in watching for tips...I don't want to make money, I just want to be wonderfulMarilyn Monroe0 -
OMG melissa, just recieved K&Co card makers box and it is really fab! Completely worth so much more than the £10 I paid. It cost them £6.85 to send the parcel and p&p was free so the company hasn't made much money out of me
Can't wait to have a proper look through, it's really great, thanks for posting the link about it:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0
