Squirrel butchering & recipes

After a long saga I have finally managed to get hold of some squirrels for eating. I was hoping for maybe 3, already dressed, but have some how been persuaded/bullied into getting 24 of the little blighters, complete with fur, head, tail the lot. The 'authentic' American redneck way would be to wrap securely in several layers of tinfoil along with some veg and liquid, then find a way of firmly attaching the parcel to the car engine and go for a long drive... Potatoes can be done the same way. The heat from the engine cooks the food. I seem to recall a website which gave recipes and driving times for various dishes!! I am sure google could tell you more if you were interested.

Never tried it, especially not with squirrel, but the concept intrigues me.
