Have you tried it? What does it taste like?0

No, but I'd imagine it's a lot like rabbit.
I'd probably give it a go though although my husband's far too squeamish to bring something like that home (he knows me too well)0 -

He's bought a rabbit as well. I think I shall be dining alone this week.0

My husband hunts and keeps threatening to bring home a squirrel, I cooked and ate the rabbits he's caught and I expect I could be persuaded to give squirrel a go. Certainly don't bin it, the poor thing died it at least deserves to be made use of!
Doesn't really taste like rabbit though, apparently nicer. Can be barbecued if young and tender or slow cook it if you don't want it too strong.
My husband frequents an air rifle forum which has a lot of recipes for rabbit, here's a link

They serve squirrel at one of London's poshest restaurants - St John's in Clerkenwell. I'd do a simplified version of this recipe - cut it into joints, remove any giblets, brown it in a little oil with some shallots and mushrooms, add a splash of white wine or brandy, stock to cover, and simmer until it's tender. Maybe stir in a spoonful of cream before serving, and a bit of fresh parsley.2015 comp wins - £370.25
