Hope this doesn't put you off too much.
I'm really hoping that a bowel of squirrel is just a typo :rotfl:
It made my day though, thank you

Or tasting like chicken used to taste, when it tasted like chicken. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0 -
Are you gonna be really MS and make a little jacket with the 24 pelts?"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Any questions, ask on the forum over there, what these guys don't know about being self sufficient aint worth knowing
If they are smelling that offensive, are you quite sure that the squirrels are as fresh as you were told they were?0 -
Love the commentary, Old Macdonald.
I'd be inclined to take the feet off a bit earlier than that, but only to prevent any possible contamintion from the crud under his toenails once the skin is off.
I know he's going to be thoroughly cooked, I'm just cautious.
Having said that, I'd probably eat the refrozen chicken on an earlier OS thread!0 -
Thanks guys. My brother runs a pub and so taking them to the butcher he gets all his meat off, thank god. I really didn't fancy having to do 23 of the little blighters. Going to be lots of squirrel parties! Do you think i should try and print any of this off or would you think that a rural butcher (even if never done squirrel before) would know what he's doing? And if, you know, your history...0

The phrase around these here parts is "a rat with a cute, fluffy tail is still a rat".

Any advice that you receive from me is worth exactly what you paid for it. Not a penny more or a penny less.0 -
I'm sure he'll be fine with it - if he's done rabbits, these wont be a problem to him. Even if he hasn't done rabbits (unusual if he's rural) then general principles will apply anyway.
It won't hurt to print the stuff off and just take it with you and if he looks totally out of his depth, offer them.0
