    Hi raph ~ congrats on your weight loss btw :j A cj is a circle journal. Basically its a book which you decorate and then give it a title like favourite place/item/holiday. Then you pass it in a circle between friends (usually 10 people) and they all decorate a double page each answering that title :) and when you get it back its all full :) reallyn nice to do ~ i enjoyed it

    Thanks :D

    That sounds really good! Maybe a one could be sent around family members as a Xmas present?! :think::D

    Yes maybe raph I am sure something could work. I have done something simaler for a 60th birthday gift :D
  • So here we go i have finally worked out a budget :j :rotfl:

    Essentials ~
    £100.00 ~ mum/rent
    £65.00 ~ BT
    £11.00 ~ house insurance
    £25.00 ~ bus cards ~ still have a whole ticket left here from this month

    Savings ~
    £55.00 ~ Halifax ~ locked
    £35.00 ~ Halifax ~ web saver

    Sub total = £291.00

    Extras ~
    £40.00 ~ £10 weekly
    £26.00 ~ markers club
    £72.79 ~ stamping up

    Sub total = £141.79

    £163.00 ~ holiday

    Total = £595.79

    £154.21 ~ spare

    ~~~~
    So there we go not too bed eh. The holiday I am paying for and mum will pay me £60 back next month. Still need to decide where we are going but the handfull of places we have narrowed it down to is £163 for 4 days. Now I will get cash back through quidco for that too :)
    The markers club will be in my soa for 4 months but the stamping up stuff will go down next month as this is the month for my free gifts etc. I am yet to decide if that is the definate figure but it will be under £100 anyway :)
    The spare will definatly see me through till pay day in july. There are only a few things I definatly need to buy next month but that should cover it all :) Not too bad eh. I do have to try and factor in some holiday savings somewhere but I have a plan. Last year I took around £150 + my gambling money (I must stress I am not a gambler all the time, its just on holiday I have a little go on the machines, mainly the 2p machines) .... So if I keep the £60 mum gives me for her share of the holiday, then save £60 in july and august from my usual budget, that will give me £180. Then I actually travel after pay day so if I add another £20/40 to that I will have more than enough. :D perfect :j
    So thats me for another month :rotfl:
  • Right do you want the good or bad news? Lets do the good news first.
    My brothers coming home :j basically the young lady he was sharing with has moved in with her partner up north somewhere. Sadly my brother cant find someone to share the 2 bed flat and the 1 bed flat is too expensive. So he is coming back home. It has ment we have just spent 3 hours clearing his room and painting it for him as a suprise. But yeah he is coming home :j
    The bad news (well not really) as from next month (july) my rent will rise so I will be paying £150 + bt (roughly £40) & house insurance. Not too bad but its about time we have payed £30 to mum since we started working and gas isnt going down etc etc. So yeah to good/bad things but I am happy :rotfl:
    Hey Pap, will your brother be paying keep too? Seems unfair if you're paying £200 ish and he's not imputting.
    Hopefully his little stint into the big wide world has improved his MS ways :D
    Edit: PS £200 may seem a lot, but I pay about £800 on rent & bills etc, living on my own.
    Hi raph, yeah bro is paying £170. I know its less than me but its my choice to pay for house insurance :) Yes I am hoping now he knows how a house run he will be happy with the rent increase :) Ohh I know £200 is cheap, hence why I am not moving out very fast :rotfl:
    That didn't last long for him - but not his own fault so maybe he'll be off again sooner than you think
