Oooh, ISOM, Rubenesque, I like that!

Hi Pap  glad things are generally okay, you seem to be doing better at not letting the bad days get you down for too long?
I just wondered if you had an up-to-date CV? If you are thinking of looking for another job, would it be worth sending your CV and a covering letter to any places you fancy working, just to see if there's anything available?
Good luck with the continuing weightloss, I am really struggling just to stay the same at the moment. Hoping that going back to work will help, as I will be busier and more stressed.....lol!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
hey snaggs, hope everything is sorting its self out in the snaggs household, hope you and stu are ok

Yes I do hun and thats what I am planning on doing. I was going to offer myself as free p/t work experience. However work wont let me drop to p/t so its a case of dropping letters everywhere. Planning on making them up soon.
Good luck with your wl hun. Well I a pinning my hopes on this wiifit :rotfl: nah I am not really however I did lose and extra 1lb the other week because I played wii tennis for a full 2 hours :T :rotfl:
Take care hun, and give the two cuties a squeeze.

Right I feel quite proud of myself now. These brit trips from walkers I have been saving for because when you hit 50points (now 1 bag is 2 points so its a lot) you can redeem them for a 1/2 price haven holiday. This is the place my mum and me stay at on our holidays. So I gladly collected the codes (from freinds/family) and today I hit 52 points. So for curiosity I see how it works. Well you are directed to haven (so cant do cash back) but then I am not too bothered as I get it half price. So looking at the prices they were quotes £117 now a few weeks ag when I checked solely on haven I am sure they were that price. So I do some digging and through only haven the same holiday/same dates is £130.00. So going through walkers you save £13. Now when you take out the price of the crisps you actually only save £4.31.
So I have wrote an email to walkers (something I wouldnt normally have the nerve to do) explaining the situation and how missleading the site actually is. I will let you know if i get a reply but I am sure they wont give me my £130 half price will they
conmen they are  0 -
Yes thanks hun, things getting better here. It's not been easy but I think we're getting there now.
Good on you for writing to Walkers - how cheeky of them!! I hope you get a reply."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

Well done PaP :T :T
The vast majority of these 'offers' are exactly as you describe - they are, in fact, just a 'con' to get you to buy a particular product. In most cases, just as you have described, the same 'product' can be purchased at the same price, sometimes even less, as the 'half-price' offer.
You are absolutely right to complain to Walkers - I hope that you 'threatened' them with a public 'expose' of their worthless offer - and I hope that you get a decent result. Don't allow yourself to be 'fobbed off' by a Company whose profits are being made out of conning the gullible public.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

Snaggs ~

Rog ~ I know I dont see why I didnt see it before I started buying crisps etc. However I am quite lucky as most of the codes were free nabbed from people in the staff room/off the customers finished trays :rotfl: I think I would have been more angry if I actually brought the crisps myself. I didnt really threaten anything but I just added the quotes and I was amazed that a national company could get away with this. I await a reply. However if I dont get an email I will send another :rotfl:
Even if they dont offer me the £130 holiday half price then I at least expect a cheque for the price of all the packets of crisps :rotfl: I will use 10 points if i cant though as you get into the seal santuarcy free with another full paying adult ~ well maybe
:rotfl:
Thanks for the support.0 -
It's exactly the same for Tesco holiday deals, they add so much on when you use them, it's hardly worth it

ooo you go pap & kick their butt! Go girl! Hello others! Thinking of you snaggles! Rubineque is just fine! Some people just arent meant to be skinny poles & I'm one of them! Discovered last year that I actually quite like my curves & boobies going is NOT a good think if you ask me! So I'll loose a bit but not past a size 14! I looked gaunt & wrinkly!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0

Thanks all.
gem ~ damn right its not worth it but I am not happy they can get away with this. If I was a single parent family and spent all that money so I could go on a holiday thats half price and then find out infact you save less than £5 I wouldnt be happy. Barstewards!
isom ~ :j yep put my back bone in about this! I am not doing too bad actually weighed today and have only pit on 2lb in the last month and I was dreading it to be a stone or something. So all good, still only have 1615 cal a day though... its getting harder when I lose
My ideal weight (acording to me ~ acording to my docs its 9st, yeah right!) would be 12st or a size 16 whichever comes first. However I have never ever ever been that small so dont know how I will feel when I get there.

Other news I have 'found' £50. Ok I havent found it as I know it was there but I forgot about it. Basically mum paid me her argos cash only I was going through my stuff the whole money phase, so I stuffed it in my pen pot on my desk. I think my 'idea' was to blow out everything in my card account and use that untill pay day, then pay argos from my wages payday. Alais I came back and accounts are doing fine and now i found this money. Anyways that will be going in the bank on monday to pay to argos
