Today was my day off! My friend was round this morning and I just vegged on the sofa this afternoon while DS was asleep, caught up on lots of fils/progs when I should have been doing paperwork for work really
What does Access do? When I needed Word/Excel, I bought a copy of Microsoft Office 2003 from Amazon, about £50 IIRC. Our pc had MSWorks installed, which wasn't compatible with the systems at work....
I am seriously tempted to buy a Wii....we have them at work for £179, and we have 20% staff discount until the 31st.....'We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars' - Oscar Wilde0 -
Awww hun, veging out is sometimes good, just to relax and have time to yourself.
I ahve no idea hun, i have office but aparentlty you cant send the files in emails and some of the tools needed arnt on the office/works editions. I have no idea really  I have seen microsoft hom/student edition on play fro £80 but I am unsure if thats what i need?
I love my wii, I dont play it enough but I still love it :rotfl:0 -
Thats the only problem, we have an xBox 360 (well actually its Oh's DS1's, but it lives here) and I don't have time to play that, never mind a Wii aswell....
No idea about the software I'm afraid, I always use my Hotmail, and Outlook at work..... u could try posting ur requirements on the Techie board and see what they say....'We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars' - Oscar Wilde0 -
Ahhh sarah, it may be a waste then. I was going to buy a ds but I thought I would never use it so didnt buy it. You will have to think on it. Well I have found this but unsure if its what I need I may just pm rog he's bound to know

The panic when budget slips or perpetual guilt isn't healthy neither is £50k worth of debt and CCJs - anyone show me the way to the healthy middle ground....:rotfl:

morning pap! Well the sunshine is definately gone here & rain is pouring!! At least there was one nice suny day though! Good that you managed to have a chat with a collegue...bb is right I think about balance - always hard to achieve though & if someone got a solution they would be rich! Go and live in a tribal village perhaps? I did one for a couple of weeks & it was bliss...simple life, go to sleep eary, up with the sun etc but would also become mundane soon me thinks! Cant help with the computer things & if rog cant help maybe techies can - always been v. knowledgable when I've asked - just dont get it myself!! Hope you have a good day!!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0

Like people who do those weird replacing a meal with a tin of sludge diets it's an easy defined control do this step and only this. Alcoholics who can do teatotal but not sensible occassional drinking etc. The really tough bit is balancing and having a healthy attitude to it all like normal people and to be honest a lot of people have issues stemming from past insecurities - parents who had money issues and so the control thing is like an element of life to impose order against that. We had some tough years and lack of money affect us and now it's more stable it's very hard to try and get a healthy balance and still not there. You can't take it with you and you can't buy health or more time to enjoy life but also there's the rainy day demons.

bb ... that is so true for me... ummmm I'm money obsessed ... and I have an eating disorder ... Actually I think I have a somewhat obsessive prone personality (in a hopefully non scary way:rotfl: ) and sometimes have to force myself to take a step back from things and remember life is for living!
I find it hard to have a balance... I'm a bit all or nothing in what I do and sometimes its not a whole load of fun. If anyone finds the secret let me know too  :rotfl:

Pap,
Did I read that you like cloth carrier bags a la tesco, sainsbury's, etc?
I have one here that I got from a company-it's from South Africa.
If you want it, you're more than welcome to it. PM me your address...
Glad to see you back, you were conspicuious in your absence...Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0
